Godaddy Hosting Overview
What is Godaddy Hosting?

For website creation, hosting, or domain name purchasing, GoDaddy has long been a go-to for users. As a big-name provider, the platform currently manages over 75 million domains for 17 million customers around the world. Despite being a massive conglomerate, GoDaddy still provides low sign-up rates, which is why it is still a preferred platform by small to medium enterprises as well as blue-chip corporations. "Not a great experience."
What do you like best about Godaddy Hosting?

They took care of minor issues relatively quickly. Affordable pricing for hosting. Easy for employees and clients to use.

What do you dislike about Godaddy Hosting?

A lot of downtimes, errors on Godaddy's behalf, lack of good customer service. Multiple websites on our server would go down and we would spend all day on the phone with customer service being constantly transferred and hung up on. Transferring websites was very difficult with GoDaddy.

What problems is Godaddy Hosting solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use them to host client websites affordably and simply. We also deal with GoDaddy if that is the company that our client already used for hosting their own website. The benefits are affordable, easy to use hosting.

"Hosting at it's worst"
What do you like best about Godaddy Hosting?

Come to think of it nothing. In fact, it was so bad that I left with at least 1 year or more's prepaid word press hosting in credit. As we paid for 2-3 years in advance.

What do you dislike about Godaddy Hosting?

Customer service is always more interested in selling you more expensive stuff without clearly explaining. The menu is so confusing it is like a maze. I always used to find one error or another. Their PHP was never up to date. These are just to mention a few.

What problems is Godaddy Hosting solving and how is that benefiting you?

Solved nothing for me made my problems worse.

"McWeb Hosting"
What do you like best about Godaddy Hosting?

When I learned our contract was up with GoDaddy. It's pretty much no-touch, which is a plus, but I don't trust them.

What do you dislike about Godaddy Hosting?

Support which wasn't very supportive. Billing that was rather non-trustworthy. GoDaddy was created for chumps who don't understand what they are doing. And I despise the advertising; sorry, but if I'm going to be a steward for our non-profit's limited resources, I don't want to invest it on something we fundamentally oppose.

What problems is Godaddy Hosting solving and how is that benefiting you?

Well, although it is easy enough, I was just glad when our contract was up. I don't want to deal with GoDaddy.

"Dont use their shared hosting if you prefer up time...or support"
What do you like best about Godaddy Hosting?

The basic premise of hosting on a shared service - Our site works, just don't assume it will be up all of the time. They are also pretty responsive to support responses, as long as you don't mind having to go back and forth several times to get an answer that is not a canned one. They do have cheap pricing but you absolutely get what you pay for in this case. Their billing is easy and straight forward.

What do you dislike about Godaddy Hosting?

The Up/Downtime is awful. We set up an email alert to generate when our site goes down. We get several of these every week. Some are only for 10 seconds or so, but really? Their customer service is always friendly. Having to go back and forth with them to; 1. get an answer about what is going wrong and 2. how to fix it. They tend to not give you all of the info you need, which then requires that you keep contacting them for follow up. Server speed is also a huge issue. We will consistently get timeouts because the website will fail to load. And when you loose development work because of this, it gets frustrating.

What problems is Godaddy Hosting solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main problem we are solving for is of course...hosting. They are also very inexpensive. The cheapest isn't always the best though. Please do your research on as many hosting companies as you can before deciding!

"Below Standard"
What do you like best about Godaddy Hosting?

About the only thing I can comment on positively is the fact they use Plesk for the hosting management panel, which is one of the two biggest panels, cPanel being the biggest and the best. Other than this I find MT very disappointing for a company they gives itself such a professional front.

What do you dislike about Godaddy Hosting?

Hosting with MT is not ideal for any of the clients who I work with, it appears their VPS is stretched within it's limits to cram as many clients as possible onto their servers, my feeling for this is because the VPS servers seem to be slow and clunky with terrible First Time Byte results. Fairly often the VPS will slow down or fail to respond completely, which for a medium sized business is extremely frustrating. I find other VPS hosting providers have better performance and usually at half the cost. With much better support.

What problems is Godaddy Hosting solving and how is that benefiting you?

MT is not a hosting provider I use personally, however we have many clients who use MT to host their businesses, so we end up working with MT allot. They provide a hosting solution which is easy for clients to setup. However this is where the benefits end, and personally would not use or recommend these guys for hosting anything.
