I've enrolled in multiple classes on Skillshare and I've found the platform pretty easy to use and reliable. I was also able to communicate with the instructors via the platform, which is a plus.

I don't see a way to communicate with other students who have taken the same classes that I have. That would have been useful.

The business problem this platform solves is the need for continuous learning and improvement. All of our team members, senior leadership included, need to learn new skills every few months. The main benefit of Skillshare is that it provides this continuous improvement/learning in bite-sized chunks of 15 minutes each.

I have used other online learning services like Masterclass in the past. Those can be entertaining since they are hosted by celebrities, but they can edge towards philosophical and storytelling rather than hands-on demonstrations. Skillshare's classes tend to be more demonstrative in nature and I think I have gotten more value out of them.

The quality in Skillshare courses can vary. Most are very good, but sometimes you have to sift through a couple of courses on the same topic to find one that is a good fit and actually teaches what you are hoping to learn. As a result, sometimes combing through the catalog can get a little tedious.

As a freelance photographer, I have used Skillshare to level up my skills in all aspects of my business. This includes the creative aspects of photography like lighting, technique, etc., but also the business aspects of building a portfolio, how to negotiate with clients.

Affordable and easy to use with a wide variety of topics.

Not as in-depth as you can get with training you pay more for... which makes sense.

Trying to learn to use the InDesign tool. It's not very intuitive for me since I've always been a Microsoft Office user rather than an Adobe suite user. The course I took gave a good high-level overview, which I then used as the basis for more in-depth training later.

There are some interesting classes in a variety of different areas.

I had a problematic charge dispute with the company. Fortunately I was given a full refund thanks to the customer service at SkillShare. Make sure you follow up with the company if you feel as though you were charged unfairly.

It allows for a bit of crowd-sourced education in a number of areas, with some good classes here and there.

For years we needed a proper platform for the beginners and new creators to learn skills useful for their career and profession. I grew up in a country where education system don't let you explore your true intrests and talents, and focus majorly on learning old methods which could get you in a job to secure life. but many people today including me want to learn what they truly want and enjoy their life while earning good. And thats why someothing like skill share is doing great job in helping people find their true talents and push their limit by educating them what truly matters.

If there was only skillshare doing the job it does, there wouldn't have been a dislike, but there are many similar applications and there is Youtube, the biggest and most challenging competition of skillshare and likewise applications, which teaches everything for free, is in way better quality, have a community of millions and is up to date in every tutorial you need. Taking about cons of skills share here are few: 1. Lack of certification to prove the complete learning. (Not necessary but can be provided) 2. Annoying ads popping up now and then. 3. Tutorials of many software are not up to date. 4. Poor video quality

I am a self-learned graphic designer and use over 10+ apps for my professional projects and artworks. , Most of them I learned from youtube, which never disappointed me. Everything I needed was right there at one click of a button, though the problem was everything seemed scattered. All bits and pieces of information were here and there. I heard the name of skillshare in early 2020 by their youtube ads focusing on artists and designers, and I thought, let's give it a try! why not? Maybe i will find something helpful, and I was right. Everything was great, brilliant teachers, great set of courses, affordable prices, and even free trials. But nothing was amazing, it was good but not mind-blowing. I was solving all these problems already with Youtube. The only benefit was that it was organized and separate.

There's a good selection of learning resources. It's a simple and easy learning experience.

Don't forget to cancel. Most people don't plan on using this forever. If you're in this group, remember to cancel your membership. It's easy to forget and of course ... There's a zero refund policy on renewals.

I'm learning how to write better cover letters, at the moment.

Many of the classes were of a good quality and I used it for years, learning many new skills.

After using Skillshare for several years under a monthly plan, they booted me out of the plan without any notice. Then, every time I logged in, I was pointed to a screen where I had no choice but to subscribe to a costly annual plan. When I contacted customer service they were incredibly unhelpful and pretended like I just suddenly wasn't a subscriber anymore and that there was no wrong on their end. I imagine that Skillshare must suddenly want to convert their earlier monthly members who were paying $9.99 a month to yearly members and this was a sneaky, incredibly unprofessional way to go about it. I can't imagine how many members they have upset with this bizarre move.

They aren't solving any problems at this time.

I was initially attracted to the variety of creators.

The quality of the creators I viewed wasn't great. The customer service seemed helpful at the beginning, but they turned out not to be as Skillshare has some unusual policies.

I was trying to get better at video shooting and editing. I didn't really get a ton of benefit. I learned some things no doubt, but the quality wasn't what I expected.

I wish I could tell you what I love best about their website, too bad they canceled my account after charging me for a one-year Premium Subscription and I didn't get to use their shitty platform too much.

Their customer experience. It seems like only incompetent outsourced indians look after their customers and this hurts their trust a lot. No answer in more than 30 days and I've tried to contact them everywhere - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, email - and no real human tried to contact me back. If their customer experience had been a ship, it would have been Titanic. Total failure.

I tried using it for personal development, but it's hard to watch tutorials when your account is cancelled for no reason.

At this point nothing They have no proper system in place for billing but they have fun courses

I joined skillshare premium and it has been so useful! However a few days ago I got billed $99 over 4 times in one day essentially cleaning my bank account out and my bank thinking it was fraud(Which essentially it was) closed my account due to suspicious activity. I mailed skillshare explaining my situation and a woman mailed me back and i quote "Thanks for reaching out! As requested, I've gone ahead and made sure your membership " 1 i didnt ask to cancel my account 2 you still owe me my money I messaged them asking them what they would need from me to do a refund on the excess amount and have heard nothing back from them...

they have amazing content on an unstable platform

I love the concept and have found a few classes I like.

The platform seems to have streaming issues. Both the website and the Android app take forever to load and frequently stall. I've tried on several devices, so it's not a device or browser issue, and I can watch Netflix and YouTube with no issues or stall at all, so it isn't my internet.

I am so excited to learn new skills to use at work and in hobbies.

I though I was going to have access to high quality instructional videos, which they offer pretty good teases of but the actual content was below satisfactory.

They have predatory billing practices and have just stolen $100 for a service I did not request. They also are not responsive. At all. It really has left a bad taste in my mouth.

None. I have more problems now that I'm a $100 poorer!

I like that I'm able to learn more about things I'm already doing as well as new information in fields I'm not as familiar with.

I have nothing I dislike about Skillshare; it's been very useful.

I've been able to learn more about Digital Marketing and I've been able to better serve my clients.

SkillShare is one of the great educational platform for learning which we ever seen in our life. It's learning process, experienced instructors and affordable pricing model to everyone. I love the user interface of website as well. If you practically think about the process of learning business. We also share video courses to our employees and they learned many topics by Skillshare like Html, GIFs Creation, Adobe Photoshop and many more softwares including programming skills they learn during their free timing. I'm very much impressed with SkillShare and I love to continue our future work with SkillShare.

They should add more payment methods like Bitcoin / Crypto payment. If they allow crypto payments then more people can join from different countries. They can be more educated within it. Otherwise there's nothing I don't like about the platform, in my opinion it's perfect.

We're solving our business problems including finance and quantitative trading mathematics in our finance business. Our clients problems are also being solved with some of courses in finance section of SkillShare. We thrive to share more & more clients to solve their own business problems in future for further business improvements.

Skillshare has done an amazing job providing a very wide variety of tech and non-tech centered courses. The quality and range of content is exactly what I was looking for. They also run very good marketing campaigns, allowing new users to use a one month free trial before subscribing.

There is no discount for students, and there is no structure that allows you to subscribe at different price points. If you don't want to pay $99 for the unlimited plan, there is no cheaper option (although they do offer some free abbreviated courses).

Skillshare has allowed me to learn how to better my illustration skills, and helped me learn new skills in Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects.
