DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) pertains to a cyber attack where hackers use a botnet, which uses multiple infected devices, to spam the victim site and overwhelm it with fake traffic. The objective of a DDoS attack is to slow down a website and eventually make it unavailable for genuine users. For companies, this can result in monetary loss as the existing server will be affected.
