I've been using Buzzsprout as a podcast hosting platform for a podcast a professional organization I'm involved in is producing. Not only is the platform cost-effective, considering we are a non-profit organization with a limited podcast production budget, but the platform is very user-friendly and easy to adapt to without much prior knowledge. I especially appreciate how the media walks you through the process from end-to-end and provides so many valuable tools and features to enhance the podcast-producing experience.
I only wish that a pricing model was granted to non-profits because, with our limited budget, we could not utilize all the tools and features available to higher-pricing tiers. As our listenership grows, we hope to be able to upgrade to take advantage of more features, but for now, we are limited.
1. to engage current and potential membership of our organization via the podcast we are developing 2. For our organization to be recognized as an industry leader via the podcast we are producing 3. To share important industry content, knowledge via our podcast 4. To showcase industry experts who can share expertise with our community via our podcast 5. To to recognize accomplishments of current members and to highlight their work within the community via our podcast BuzzSprout allows us to have a podcast hosting space to help host, promote and track our podcast.
Buzzsprout is very cost-effective and easy to use. Being a first-time user, I was astonished by how straightforward everything was.
I honestly haven't been using it long enough to find out what I dislike.
We are using Buzzsprout to launch our podcast. I love how it offers all the different podcast platforms to host our podcast like Spotify, Google, Apple, etc. Launching our podcast out to the world is just a click of a button.
Competitive pricing, easy to use, gets the job done, good analytics. Does everything a podcaster needs: hosts, promotes, and helps you track the data. Always adding new features and developing the product
The pricing structure is quite complex. The podcast minutes not used in a month are not carried over to the next month - in the podcast world every month differs and it would be useful to keep the minutes.
Great host for the podcast, distributes the content to all channels and platforms, all updates can be made from one page. Solves the problem of knowing where the listeners are, and provides other useful data.
The categories are a bit more complete than other platforms that makes for a great platform, they also have a great wealth of info to aid you in your endeavor as a podcaster.
The cost is a bit too much for a startup podcast.
I started using Buzzsprout as a very easy to use podcast hosting site. It was easy to setup and get started, but the cost quickly became too much.
- Easy to use - Syndicates to major podcast outlets - I have the upsell that masters audio, really nice quality - Stats on the audience that's really important
I am really satisfied with this product without any complaints besides maybe including the mixer free (versus an upsell)
Before I was manually uploading RSS feeds, this makes it so much easier!
Buzzsprout is incredibly affordable and simple to use for anyone getting started with a new podcast. For only $12 per month, podcasters can upload up to 4 hours of recorded episodes. A simple website is provided, and shows get distributed to all popular podcast listening apps.
Buzzsprout promotes their "free website" as a valuable benefit, but this is really much more of a simple page that displays the podcast episodes. The "website" is very limited in terms of customization. This is no big deal for us whatsoever, since we prefer to host our own website allowing for complete control and customization. And, Buzzsprout has a WordPress plugin that makes it simple to embed episodes on our own posts and pages.
We were fed up with the higher price and poor functionality of our previous podcast host. Buzzsprout solved our problem by making the migration of our show to the new platform quick and straightforward. Now it is much easier to embed and share our episodes with no advertising from the platform.
Small glitch with getting our latest episode loaded and Buzzsprout customer service responded, offered assistance and the issue was fixed within minutes. It had been nearing the end of the day when I was having the trouble and I did not expect such prompt service. I would recommend!
I do not have anything I dislike about Buzzsprout.
It is just a quick and easy service for feeding our podcast to the app stores and hosting on our site.
The ability to manage multiple podcasts in one place
The cost of the subscription is a bit too high for my needs.
Hosting and managing multiple podcasts in one place. The ability to change the author for each episode is very useful.
