Heartbeat is a community platform that continues to innovate in exciting ways! The platform is full-featured - with community, courses, events, audio & video capabilities, documentation, etc. It has almost everything you can think of to run a successful and robust community. The Heartbeat workflows is one of my favorite features! 🎉 This feature allows you to automate things within the Heartbeat platform without having to use external automation tools like Zapier. Heartbeat is also extremely versatile so you can setup the kind of community you want by turning on/off features that you may not need in your particular setup. Heartbeat itself is quite intuitive. The Heartbeat team, in addition to being very accessible, actively listen and respond to feedback. Their customer support is great! They have monthly Townhalls where the latest features are unveiled and we can offer our feedback and make suggestions LIVE right there during the Townhall. They even give 1-on-1 live support to customers who need it! Heartbeat is a community platform with much heart!
Honestly, there's nothing I dislike. The developments can't come fast enough 🙃 For example, I would like some more features added to the event's calendar such as the ability to embed the event Calender in external pages. It's currently on the roadmap and I'm confident the team will get to it.
Heartbeat provides an online meeting spot for my members. I love scheduling events in the calendar as the Hwartbeat calendar is very robust.
Having the community, courses, docs, search, DMs, and everything - ALL IN ONE SPOT is a game-changer. I recently switched from my own custom-built course platform, and my students are LOVING this (and so am I, because now I can focus on the community/education, without having to maintain my own software). Heartbeat is AMAZING!
Mobile app is a bit clunky and not white-labeled, desktop app seems to slow things down (as opposed to just using the web app) but I'm ok with that. Not a huge deal. Login flow has been a bit of a headache (several users email me with issues logging in and/or receiving their magic email) I'd love to be able to tweak a few things on the UX, but again, not big issues. Heartbeat support has been very helpful in resolving the login issues, and much of the time, it's user error. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend.
All-in-one online academy! My students are absolutely loving it! The value of using heartbeat as opposed to a course platform + facebook community have been AWESOME.
I love the responsiveness of the team. I like that I can go at my own pace to build my community. I like the look of my community. I find the platform to be more intuitive than others I had investigated.
There is a LOT to learn about building my community. Some of the help topics are hard to find, outdated by new features on the platform or not informative. They do offer a monthly live event for questions so if a help topic isn't helpful, I can always ask.
It is providing an online space where invited members can develop relationships. It is providing me an online home for my teaching and writing. It offers me the ability to connect with free members and to a more committed audience as well.
Plug an play. Just sign in and it guides you all the way through the set-up process. There are loads of features built in that you can switch on and off.
The course's function is just not quite there yet as you can't upload videos >10mb and so you need to link to a YT video. And live-streaming into the group is also missing.

It is hard to pick one thing, to be honest! There are many amazing features on this platform. What I appreciate the most is the tools for communication and automation. This makes it simple to manage a large community of people while still building meaningful relationships with members. I have saved so much time on repetitive tasks and I now have more energy to do the things that I love to do in my company.
The one hurdle with using Heartbeat is that it is quite new so people are unfamiliar with the space. This requires a bit more work than a Facebook group to get people to make profiles and engage within the community.
I wanted to build my own app for my company however, that was a huge project that I was not ready for quite yet. Finding Heartbeat allowed me to have everything that I was looking for in a custom-built app for an affordable monthly subscription. This has benefited my company because we are able to have a custom-built online community space without having to build everything from scratch. Furthermore, I am connected with a wonderful network of online community builders by being a member of Heartbeat. I can attend group calls and easily upskill. It is a huge benefit to not have to do all of these community-building parts of my business alone. Community builders also benefit from being in a supportive community!
I love that you can have your community and course all on the one platform. There are so many great features and the founders are very responsive to suggestions and improvements.
Nothing really - they are working hard to improve every aspect of the platform and it is really amazing that there is a mobile app that you can keep connected to the community on the go.
Combining the course aspect with the community chat and resources. So often the course platform is a stand alone platform and there is no ability for the students to ask questions or engage with other students.
I love how on brand my community is and it feels like a fun platform and that is part of my brand. I love that when I toggle bt other communities that mine feels like me!
There are some tech features that I wish Heartbeat had, but they are really good at adding and updating constantly! I am excited to watch it grow from ground up!
That I have a space to meet and chat with my community and engage with them through prompts! I also love that it's off of social media! It really was the confidence I needed to go ahead and start a community!
Extremely user-friendly, intuitive, robust, and simple to use.
After uoloading all of our videos, they were unable to be viewed on android. This has since been fixed. Also, support was very also very slow to respond though this has since also been rectified. Over extremely pleased!
Heartbeat has community and authentic connection built into it. It can be scary to connect with others but the layout of the playform creates a sense of comfort.
It has great systems in place for onboarding you to the platform and also for you to help onboard your members when they join.
There are still a few issues with the mobile app, but at least they have one.
Community and courses. It is great that it is also a platform that works really well in India. Other platforms the payment processors do not work here.

They are making community experiences extremely easy to execute by pulling together events, courses and pre-built templates for other experiences like office hours, book clubs, etc
The platform it's very intuitive, reducing friction for users to participate writing threads, asking questions, adding images, etc. versus the great majority of community platforms that feels like an old forum-style space.
The overall design (fonts, layout, UI) feels a bit rough in compare to other community platforms with a more cleaner-trendy look. Also, the mobile (and Mac) app are slow.
With Heartbeat I'm able to gather my audience in a private space and engage with them in ways I couldn't with other marketing tools (online course, email marketing and social media platforms). I truly believe communities will become the best way to monetize an audience and Heartbeat is very good at helping you with exactly that.

We needed a community that would be easy to maneuver for non-techies, something as accessible as FB but completely private and under our control. Our community loves the intimacy and privacy we offer. It feels like an actual community of people who genuinely care about each other. It also allows white labeling so to our members it seems like an extension of our business, not a separate entity as many competitors see to do.
I like how the HB team is fast and efficient to help you out. Additionally, I love the features like the watercooler chat and the overall best control on the community.
I don't especifically dislike anything about Heartbeat because if I see something that needs to change, I ask the team and they add it to the wish list. Right now they have already worked on some features I needed in my community, so I'm quite satisfied.

One of the more immediate values realized with Heartbeat is how quickly you can customize the platform to integrate digital information products and a community and be validating and selling sooner than you thought possible!
From day one, I've been very impressed with Hearbeat's responsiveness to feedback and active learning from their wide variety of customers' needs and experience levels. The user interface has been a particular development roadmap I've been paying attention to as I've been actively and successfully using the platform. You can clearly see the improvements have been well-informed by a larger solution-focused vision and the feedback from admins, end users, and business owners. They make "work-in-progress" look and feel good!

The developers listen to feedback, are engaged and supportive and are continually improving the platform. There is also a very support community of other Heartbeat community leaders who help each other.
There are a few glitches still but these are being continually improved. I am looking forward to having more functionality within 'courses' and the onboarding process being improved.
Heartbeat has given me a community space that brings together the people I am working with along with events. I looked at several other products (including facebook) and this has been great and had very good feedback from the users.
Heartbeat is a very affordable tool in comparison to most other community management tools out there. It's easy to use for me as an administrator and my community loves it too. For me the events section is certainly the most important part of my business and Heartbeat offers everything I need to manage the events effectively (RSVP, reminders, feedback etc.) If you are looking for an affordable and user-friendly tool to manage your online community, I highly recommend Heartbeat.
For me, Heartbeat has everything I need to manage my events (with is the heart of my business) and engage with my community.
It's putting everything in one place - events plus the ability for the members of my community to engage with me and each other. And it's less distracting than hosting a free online community on something like Facebook.
