I've been using Invision for years and they are always coming out with updates and changes to make their prototyping and workflow better than before.
I wish some of my non-design coworkers could learn Invision easier, since it takes a bit to learn the tips and tricks, since it's such a powerful program.
Showing non-designers what a product will look like without having to spend all the time to make it a complete one (prototyping). Otherwise, it's the best collaboration program between designers and devs.
I've tested several tools that offer most of the same features, but InVision takes the cake each time. Their experience is extremely solid and the tools are invaluable—not to mention their support is super helpful.
There are some aspects of the interface I don't love, but it's not enough to prevent me from using the product.
I mainly use InVision for the newer Inspect feature, and even though it's only in beta, it's already been working smoother and more solid than other tools that offer this feature-set exclusively.
The ease of use is great, I was able to pick it up very quickly without the need for help docs. InVision also updates with new features pretty regularly. InVision also created craft a plugin for sketch that not only helps connect sketch to InVision but also adds extra features to sketch.
I was hoping for InVision to release a WYSIWIG tool after they acquired MACAW. You cant create a project with multiple screen types (like desktop & Mobile views). It would be also helpful if they added functionality for fixed elements within the page (like their fixed footer/header feature).
I create websites and apps. Invision helps bring the design screens into a user flow.
The ability to download a plugin and use it inside of photoshop, that way when our sales team is in another city, they can help me make real time adjustments to design which in turn creates a quick turnaround and better customer satisfaction.
There is a bit of a learning curve for the other end user, trying to explain to other people on how to use it can be frustrating at times.
I'm the sole designer for my company and this allows me to turn out products faster and more efficiently.
This is a great tool. i love using invision for my projects. Makes thing feel real.
That I need to be connect online to work on it.
Interaction details.
The UI is perfection. It works fast, simply, and everything's clear. My clients love it.
There's not much that I can think of to dislike.
Mockup and design review with multiple clients.
I have been using Invisiom for the past few months now and I am loving it. I have been using sketch software and with the help of the craft plugin I can connect sketch and incision together.
There are few bugs in the cray plugin that can easily mess up your incision prototype so I am hoping that gets sorted out.
Presenting a complete interactive prorotype helps the business understand the whole product and how the users are going to interact with it.
I like how easy it is to put something together from slide to slide. I also REALLY appreciate the fact that you can use more than use the basic file types. They allow for AI and PSDs so you don't have to convert to a bunch of raster images just to upload. It does it for you! That alone is invaluable. I use it mainly for wire framing up website mock ups and connecting each slide is super easy and the Template option to add the same link locations is HUGE so you don' have to add each one over and over. InivisonApp has been a great tool to help communicate my ideas.
I can't think of many flaws with the Invision app itself, and I didn't set it up initially so I'm not sure if they have this but a nice walk through of all the features would be nice. I seemed to figure things out as I went, which was easy enough.
Sharing web design concepts and customer flow. We've been able to come together and work on projects seamlessly.
fast, intuitive, the real look and feel experience. There is simply an easy way to to prototype and InVision got it right, upload 2 images, one as starting point, the other as the end point. Click on the start point, choose the prototype tool, mark the spot, and link the end point. Do this for every possible combination and you have a walk thought.
I sometimes loose track with the many screens it can possible has, that i start making my own drawn maps, I wish In Vision could have a way to see the whole project as a site map experience.
user interface, creating a better and faster experience to become a member of out loyalty program. In Vision not only helped us to create a walk through the new login, but also we showed this to the sales team and other executives outside the project, to test it, with positive results.
Using InvisionSync allows me to design mulitple pages, save my progress, and upload for review just by pressing the save button. Any changes that I make update within seconds. No more exporting each page as a jpg, then combining into a PDF and emailing for internal or client review. This is so much more streamlined.
There's not much to dislike with InVision! We really love this app.
We've saved so much time & money using InVision. We can now comment on designs internally, iterate and present to clients all within one app.
InVision is so easy to understand and very user friendly
I'm was actually really happy with it when I had the chance to use it.
Usability and design interface are amazing, so easy.
Invision continues to be the leading tool to demo prototypes and collaborate on design and ux with decision makers. The ability to place notes at the point of emphasis is a huge plus.
Would like if this tool were more tightly integrated with adobe products.
With invision I am able to effectively communicate to decision makers a more realistic solution without necessarily spending time in code
I hate getting emails from client with a word doc with changes and content, invision allows you to send the web design to the client to review and click on the sections they want changed.
limit on the free version :D..................................
projects draging out in revision, get the changes, get it done and ship
It's incredibly intuitive. They file synching feature makes my life so much easier. They also improve on the experience frequently so it's always getting better. Also works well with Sketch and I can't wait to pair it with Craft. Nice to see a software company that plays well with others.
I'm still stuck using Adobe so it's a bummer that it's more focused on Sketch users. I understand why, but it's still a bummer.
Synching my files makes it easy to quickly edit my prototype so I have a faster turn around with clients.
I like the fast content filling on my mockups. Very fast.
Nothing at all. I think that they are doing a fantastic job with their products.
I'm able to quickly put together mockups that have content inside of them without gathering stock imagery and etc.
We have knocked presentations out of the ball park with this software and look forward to bridging our designs to development with this prototyping solution.
None so far. This software is growing almost as fast as the prototype you'll make.
Clients are unsure how products will appear on mobile so we solve this by prototyping it live.
InVision makes it really easy to drop full PSD files (even with artboards) into the app so when your client has a change it makes it really easy to make the update in Photoshop and sync your changes. This allows for a great quality and efficient workflow. This is also very user-friendly and a great tool to more easily present a concept to a client who might be more visual than conceptual.
There still seem to be some bugs when setting scrolling and hover effects. I haven't run into too many other issues or things that I didn't like.
This helps us demonstrate how a website might work when a user interacts with various elements on a client's website and in the end leads to less uncertainty from the client.
The ability to look at my designs and how they would potentially work on a mobile device.
The setup time to link pages and screens together is a lot.
This allowed us to trial and test out our new application design and make potential changes to said design.
InVision is great at allowing you quickly create prototypes in any fidelity. You can upload anything from from rough sketches to high fidelity comps to create your prototypes. Once the screens are created, you can easily group and organize them, and drag and drop new comp to update screens. The InVision team is constantly releasing and communicating their new features, and they really seem to do their research on what their customers want and how they use their products. To me, the support offered and the fact that they seem to have the features I need well before other products on the market puts InVision head and shoulders above the other solutions out there.
It's hard to find much to dislike, since they are consistently releasing features and tweaking their system. There are a few minor interaction design details that could be cleaned up such as finding the screen you want when you choose the screen as overlay option.
InVision serves a couple of major issues for our business. It allows us to share designs with stakeholders and get feedback directly on the design. We can then quickly iterate on the design to solve business problems. We also use it to user test designs before beginning development. That way, we can find and solve issues quickly before committing significant development time. Finally, when we are ready to begin development, we use it to demonstrate intended functionality to our development team. At each stage, it helps us visualize and rapidly test out ideas, and iterate quickly.
The service is really easy to use, no learning curve. The thing i liked most was and made me choose it while i was looking at some other tools was the design. Really well done, and they kept adding features. Animations are great, the comments useful, and making them as tasks and seeing what needs work is rather great. I also use the mood boards. Support for animated gifs and overlays do a great job. Dropbox integration and user testing are just perfect.
There are a few minor issues. Sometimes the prototype loads with difficulty on mobile, and there are minor bugs but these ar far and between. Not the biggest fan of random backgrounds that don't really work sometimes, hard to integrate anything else other than photos and gifs which reduce the realism.
Invision makes prototyping easy, and adds a touch of professionalism when presenting my designs to clients. Moodboards also do that, with their sleek design.
