Onboardigng was decent They offer a 72-hour refund for charges if it's an oversight, but this doesn't address the gaps in their free trial practices
The way they run their free trial - charges after expiry, payment notfications, cancellation process. Customer support isn't that great. I had signed up for a free trial in August. However, after exploring the tool I didn’t find it to be the right fit for what we needed at the time. So I put it on a back burner. Like any other SaaS product, they sent across a set of nurturing emails to get me to convert. The last of which was a reminder that it was the last day of my trial. Since there was no mention of being charged once the trial lapse, I didn't do anything. A little more than a month later I find out I have been charged twice -- Aug/ Sep, 129$ each time. #1 Their email which says (Subject line: "Your free trial is going… going…") only talks about the trial expiring and not the charge that will be applied to the account. #2 I did not receive any notification informing me of the expected payment deduction. This is standard practice for any susbscription service. #3 Even after the payment was deducted for August, I did not receive any invoice or confirmation of the payment being deducted. Had I received this, I would have been able to ask for a correction/ refund right there. #4 During my trial period, their follow-up emails were quick to spot the pixel code wasn't implemented and get me to do so. But after charging my account, there was little or no regard to check in on why I was paying charges for the highest subscription plan when the pixel code was still not implemented. They cancelled my account but just refunded the fees for September since it was within their 72-hour refund period.
I never moved past the free trial, so can't comment
I've used proof for 2 years now and it has been an integral part of my front-end marketing site to build legitimacy & trust for my potential buyers. I specifically use the Hot Streak & Recent Activity popups to help which show buyers how many users have subscribed to our software or bought our software in the last week.
I don't think there is much to dislike. My only complaint is it is a wee-bit expensive, but it certainly provides more value than the price paid.
Proof has improved buyer trust and provided instant legitimacy for our software business.
Proof is a must-have for any ecommerce website, but not only. It works great with any kind of website, and the integration of the tool into any website is very simple and easy, anyone can do it.
There are only two things I don't like about Proof. First of all, it's the inability to remove the Proof branding. At least for the 'Pro' plan. Another thing that I don't like about Proof is the steep price. At $79/month, it's quite high for someone just starting.
I have seen some progress on my conversion rates on the websites that I've installed Proof, but I don't know for certain it's all because of Proof. I use Proof for my clients' websites, and it has helped me tremendously, overall.
These guys have built an amazing software that was the first to market to solve the specific market problem around the need for real-time authentic social proof for sales funnels. I've been with Proof since the launch of the software and what has amazed me most is not only their continued commitment to providing an amazing service and great customer support but how they've been able to keep that standard very high even while experiencing massive growth.. many SAS businesses start to struggle when they get volume.
The tiered usage system that automatically moves you to the next pricing tier is useful, however, it needs to work in both directions. If the prices go up when I use more, then it should automatically move down a tier when I'm not using the software too, or at least there needs to be an option to enable that.
Improving conversions on landing pages by showing page visitors that others have already taken action.
Very easy set-up and integration, with easy to follow instructions. I had Proof up and running within 10 minutes of sign-up. I've tinkered with the settings and now mostly leave it alone, which is what you want.
Nothing major -- there is no mobile site or app to manage the account which might be a drawback for some. This would be helpful to check things on the go. However once you set-up your variable test settings, it is really the type of app that you leave running "in the background", so you don't really need to check it everyday.
We operate a multi location business with an online booking system. We wanted to show prospective clients real-time that other real people are actually booking appointments. This creates a sense of trust, positivity and urgency that helps drive clients toward finalizing their own booking. The added benefit is that Proof shows where clients are from in the notification that pops up on the website, so your clients will (ideally) see that someone more or less nearby to them just booked an appointment. Combined with our other reviews-focused apps, this is pushing up conversions noticeably.
I love the customizability of the software and the ability to set the frequency of the notifications. You can use a more aggressive approach of displaying a lot of notifications or lowering the frequency to display "proof" without being over the top.
Nothing at the moment, although the new dashboard and campaign set up is a little weird. I feel like it could be designed to be a little more user-friendly and not as redundant.
I think Proof helps bust through the skepticism that many people have when buying products or services online. People are naturally skeptical to purchase from people they don't know and I think showing proof of purchases from others helps to make them feel more comfortable and trusting of their decision to purchase.
I love how Proof is continuously improving their products, offering more features, and responding to customer needs.
I can't capture information on certain forms my customers fill out because I can't edit the HTML on them.
It has made my customers feel more confident in our products. We've seen sales increase on pages that have Proof, and we are now able to track our sales goals more effectively during certain sales campaigns.
I liked the concept and idea how being able to gather proof of purchase
I didn't like service of the representatives. I joined proof and did not have luck installing the pixel on my website. I then PAID someone else to do this service. It still did not work. I reached out to customer service to schedule a call for support. I woman named Megan said she did not have any availability until the following week. I then received an email from Ryan offering to take the call since Megan was not available and then Ryan decided he would not take the call either. I was not disappointed that there was no availability that week but asked on numerous occasions if they would be willing to schedule a call and they would not do it. It was a waste of my time and money. I am disappointed they don't value their customers enough to help with technical issues. I do NOT recommend
Proof did not work. No one from the customer service team seemed to care.
