I love how BambooHR takes complex data nad organizes it in a beautiful and clear way with easy to use/create reports, employee data and how intuitive the platform is.
Once you hit 1,500 employees or more, you need more robust features in regards to capturing data in time and it'd be nice to edit standard reports. It could also be better as a global platform
Bamboo stores all our employee data, we run reports with it for headcount, d&i information, salary history, job information, everything.
My favorite thing about BambooHR is the ability to add custom sections to track data. As the HRIS person for our company I am in BambooHR all day every day. The ability to add custom tables and run reports on that data makes my life so much easier. Also -BambooHR is constantly sending updates and making improvements on their services. Their customer support is top notch and will help with anything large or small.
Not much. There are some times when we get inconsistent information from the support team but with a little work we always manage to figure it out.
BambooHR is our core HRIS as well as our ATS and Payroll. We currently do not use the performance management or benefits administration but we plan on doing that in the next 12 months.

Not everything is customizable, so if you need some specific features - consider it first. For us, it was not critical, compared with other essential features.
When you are scaling and growing as a company - you need one place, where to store all the info about people. History of their compensation, roles, and performance. If you're responsible enough to fill in all the data and surveys - you can benefit a lot from analyzing it through time, understand how it changes, and what the reasons are. This is a basis necessity fir building better organization and to hear your people.
All our Personnel Files are in one place. We had an audit with findings regarding record storage. Now with BambooHR we are at 100% compliance.
Employee resistance to change. BambooHR has features we are not maximizing. The learning curve is low but the staff resistance factor can be a barrier to implementation.
Onboarding has become standardized along with the recruiting process. With BambooHR we recruited an Executive Leader from Baltimore to Houston. We would never have reached this person using conventional job posting techniques.
Bamboo was a great surprise for our empleoyees becasuse it was way easier to use than the previous solution we had, the implementation although it was easy was a litle lenghty to adapt to different countries policies. Has good customer support, several features including different types of leaves and the frequency of use of the platform has increased very well since it was integrated with our other solutions.
Bamboo took quite some time to migrate from our previous platform.

The platform is very user friendly while still offering a lot of features. However, the single determining factor that has made BambooHR such a great product has been the customer support. Due to the number of features, there have been times where I couldn't quite figure out how to make it do what I wanted and all I had to do was pick up the phone and a CSR would walk me through the process. In addition, their FAQ section is actually incrediblly helpful. There is an option to acutally walk through certain processes in a demo format where it moves you click by click through the steps you need to take. Overall, this has been a fantastic tool for our HR department.
The only main issue we have run into using this program is a lack of ability to direct message. The annoucements feature allows us to push a notification to all employees or specific departments, but for an employee to message a manager or vice versa, they are relocated outside the BambooHR platform to email.
BambooHR has given our employees a method of clocking in and out each day. Additionally, it tracks all PTO and gives the employees a reliable way to check their available PTO, schedule time off, etc. The new benefits feature is also very helpful when open enrollment comes each year.
It would take too long to list everything, but: Ease of use, Reporting, Hiring, Performance Mgmt, HR Summits, emailing, and signatures.
Can't think of anything........I guess that it is mostly for small-medium sized companies.
I love the New hire Onboarding Packets that it sends out to New Hires, I love that you can get documents signed digitally.
