Easy to use and informative dashboard. There are also intro and tutorial videos on the dashboard. Free trial.
There is no built-in point-of-sale system. Dashboard is a bit cramped.

The free tier allowed more items than ecwid.
It was very difficult to set up your shop. One could argue there were too many settings that you needed so sort through. Shop wasnt easy to configure
I was in need of a website domain and ended up getting that. Was able to transfer that over to Go Daddy and it's now in my full possession.
It really used to be a good solution, but in recent years and a change of hands have made 3DCart no longer a good choice. It used to be easy to work with for both larger (even multi-store) sites and small stores. Now only a handful of pre-made templates to choose from. Still fairly easy to modify the look and feel of your stores or go completely custom. Many built-in features with options to add more from third-party developers.
Doesn't integrate with all order management companies. Everything is now an upcharge. I made the mistake of paying yearly. They will not work with you if you have to cancel their service. Absolutely will not refund.
Great for small companies just starting out in eCommerce. One monthly fee (flexible to meet your current needs). No per sale fees.
