Wrike Expert Review

Wrike Review: Is It the Right Project Management Tool for Your Business?

Wrike has been empowering professionals and teams to better manage their work since its launch in 2006. It’s a comprehensive solution for professional service providers, marketing teams, and agencies. But all this versatility comes with a high price tag.

Is it worth it? In this Findstack review, we’re going to find out.

What is Wrike: A Quick Overview

Wrike is an all-in-one work management platform that helps teams collaborate, plan projects, delegate tasks, and track progress. The platform offers a range of plans designed to meet the needs of almost any kind of business. Whether you’re a solopreneur or a department head at a Fortune 500 company, Wrike has a plan for you.

Wrike Dashboard

Wrike’s power lies in its ability to support both project management and collaborative work, which explains its appeal to a wide range of industries. The tool boasts a user-friendly dashboard that’s pretty simple to set up. It’s also very easy to create tasks, assign them to team members, set due dates, and track their progress.

Getting Started With Wrike

Wrike is one of the more intuitive project management tools for a new user to get started with—especially compared to competitors like ClickUp.

Wrike is available to users via web browser, desktop application, and mobile application for both Android and iOS devices.

To get started with Wrike, new users have the option to register for a free account using their business email. Once the email address is verified, users will be redirected to Wrike’s homepage to complete the initial registration process—which involves a guided walkthrough.

How Wrike Works: Key Features

Dashboards

If you’ve ever used a project management tool, Wrike’s Dashboards will feel very familiar.

Wrike Redesign Page

For every project you create in Wrike, you can create Dashboards to display, manipulate, and analyze the project data that you’ve collected within it. They essentially give you an overview of project KPIs, metrics, due dates, and progress at a glance—saving you the hassle of seeking out each piece of data at the source.

When you create a Dashboard, you can start with a template or build one from scratch. If you go the latter route, you have quite a bit of flexibility thanks to a modular design and a wide selection of interactive widgets, including:

  • Assigned tasks
  • Overdue tasks assigned to you
  • Overdue tasks that you assigned
  • Tasks you’re following
Wrike Project management Page

Wrike is unlike a lot of project management tools because everything you need is right at your fingertips. You don’t need to navigate to another window to see it all.

Automation

Like most modern project management tools, Wrike features an automation engine that works in the background to synch related tasks, assign workloads, and ensure tasks are completed on time with botted @mentions and comments.

Wrike Inbox Page

Wrike’s automation engine may not be the most complex or versatile on the market, but it’s intuitive and practical. There’s no feature bloat here—every feature is sure to get some use.

Integrations

On a related note, Wrike’s automation capabilities are supported by 400+ integrations with third-party tools. Pretty much every tool category is covered, including:

  • CRM
  • Communication
  • BI
  • Calendar
  • CMS
  • Storage
  • Accounting
  • Reporting
Wrike Tools

Integrating Wrike with other tools in your stack is a great way to cut out some busy work from daily workstreams and improve productivity. It’s also a surefire way to minimize human error.

Live Analytics

Wrike automatically updates every report, chart, and dashboard every 15 minutes, so you never miss a thing. Wrike Social Media Performance Page

That’s a huge benefit—it means project managers don’t need to manually collect and input data from multiple sources to draw meaningful insight. Less time on busy work means more time analyzing the data for patterns, trends, and inefficiencies.

This feature is also great for project managers who are juggling multiple projects. They get a real-time overview of project statuses, team workloads, pending approvals, and tasks waiting to be assigned, so they can easily prioritize work and make meaningful progress.

Customizable Forms

Wrike has a custom form builder that you can use to create almost any kind of form—from simple team surveys to content request forms.

Wrike Forms

Wrike’s forms are fully customizable, and you can take advantage of role-based access controls to grant or deny access to certain pages or sections. Plus, when you create a new form, it can automatically assign tasks, set due dates based on the submission date, and populate subtasks.

Enterprise-level project management tools

Wrike offers advanced project management tools that you can access on your Home workspace to help you measure key performance indicators.

These tools include time tracking to assist in managing billable hours, visualizing cost and budget calculations, and business intelligence to assess project risk. While these tools are particularly useful for large enterprises with complex needs and a variety of teams, they can also be beneficial for small businesses that plan to scale.

In addition, the platform allows you to share files and publish assets with enterprise-grade security. The sheer number of features may be overwhelming for teams new to project managers, but Wrike provides great walkthroughs and tutorials. You may even discover features by accident that end up accelerating your workflows.

Wrike Revenue Page

Wrike offers pre-built templates based on team roles to simplify task creation. Some of these templates include:

Wrike Tamplates
  • Project performance templates
  • OKR templates
  • Weekly to-do list templates
  • Kanban board project templates
  • Agile and IT templates
  • Content operations templates
  • Quarterly business review templates
  • Ticketing and help desk templates

Collaboration Tools

Wrike—like most project management tools—is designed to make it easier to collaborate with your teams.

All team members have access to a global or project-based live stream of task activity, so nobody is left behind. Team members can easily communicate on specific tasks via comments and notes so that conversations are kept organized. Shared team calendars can be added to the dashboard to help with awareness of progress and submission dates. Wrike Collaboration page

You can also invite third parties such as clients, vendors, or contractors, at no extra cost, to view the status of their projects and provide input that goes towards successful project completion.

Wrike Use Cases

Wrike’s use cases are quite impressive. Over 20,000 companies in over 140 countries have relied on Wrike to streamline their planning processes. These are companies that span a range of industries, including:

  • SaaS
  • Technology
  • Healthcare
  • Education
  • financial services
  • Construction
  • Manufacturing
  • Retail

What makes Wrike stand out from other project management platforms?

Wrike’s easy-to-create (and even easier-to-understand) Gantt chart view sets it apart from many other popular project management platforms. Plus, Wrike offers a range of other views, such as List, Board, Table, File, and Timelog. While this isn’t unique to Wrike, it isn’t super common to have that much flexibility,

Wrike Campaign Page

Overall, Wrike’s differentiating factor is the ease with which you can use it to manipulate project data to gain new perspectives and insights.

Wrike Pricing

Wrike offers a total of five plans, starting from a basic Free option, all the way up to an advanced Pinnacle option for large enterprises with complex needs. Paid plans start at $9.80 per user per month, making Wrike’s pricing a bit more expensive than most other project management tools.

Here’s a breakdown of the plans: Wrike Pricing page

  • Free: Wrike’s free plan is suitable for small teams that are just starting with project management software. However, it has limited feature options, including 2 GB of storage space, and excludes Gantt charts, time-tracking, and many customization tools. The number of active tasks for a free plan is also limited to 200, which can be limiting even for small teams.
  • Team: This plan starts at $9.80 per user per month and is tailored for small teams that want to plan and collaborate on projects. Fortunately, this plan does include the Gantt chart view, 2 GB of storage per person, and the option to integrate with a wide range of services.
  • Business: Priced at $24.80 per user per month, this plan provides access to advanced project management tools. The Business plan has everything you may need for project management for a large team (up to 200 people), with 5 GB of storage per person.
  • Enterprise: The Enterprise plan does not have a stipulated price because Wrike will draw up a plan depending on your business needs. It is a plan to consider for large businesses that require more security controls.
  • Pinnacle: This plan is for large businesses with complex work needs, including billable hours tools, job roles, and tools for planning and tracking effort put into different projects. It comes with 15 GB of storage per person.

Pros and Cons of Wrike

Pros:

  • Wrike offers plans for everyone, from small teams to large corporations.
  • Real-time analytics are updated every 15 minutes.
  • Wrike offers department-specific solutions which help different departments across your business align and communicate projects on one platform.
  • Special customization is available for professional services and marketing and creative teams.
  • Wrike offers training resources to help you get started on the platform.
  • The free plan offers up to 2 GB of storage.
  • It supports eight languages.

Cons:

  • Although the project dashboards are user-friendly, those new to project management software may find Wrike overwhelming due to the wide array of features.
  • Wrike’s costs can be a burden for mid-sized teams – there are cheaper project management tools with roughly equivalent features.
  • Many of Wrike’s useful advanced features are offered as add-ons that can effectively double the price of the tool.
  • The mobile app is not as user-friendly as other project management apps (e.g., Click Up). Managing tasks from the mobile app is not as smooth as using a desktop, and you may find that you’re unable to move and edit tasks.
  • The interactive Gantt chart view is only available in the paid plans.
  • The time-tracking in-app timer is only available on the Business plan and higher, and even small collaborative teams should be able to benefit from this feature.

Is Wrike right for your business?

Wrike is a comprehensive project management platform that also functions as a collaborative work management tool, making it ideal for businesses of all sizes. If you offer professional services or are part of a marketing or creative team, you can certainly benefit from Wrike’s highly customizable features.

It’s important to note that Wrike can be a bit pricey—especially with add-ons. Plus, it may be a bit overpowered for small teams who are looking for simple project management capabilities. That said, it’s a solid tool for managing multiple departments and complex projects.

If you want more insight and information into other project management software, Findstack has more helpful reviews you can take a look at.

"Wrike is a very versatile page in customer management "
What do you like best about Wrike?

We like the high quality we get when combining Wrike's CRM and business editions. In this way we get a better management, and we can concentrate on the management of our orders. We also like your billing and supplier management tools. Wrike contains many functions of marketing management and help Desk, so it can be considered an all-in-one platform.

What do you dislike about Wrike?

With all the useful functions that Wrike has, it is difficult to find his problems. The platform does not have templates for projects, with which it would be a bit easier to work if you are new to the platform, so it is better to use it if you already have knowledge in software of this type. Your advertising campaign system is also affected by the lack of templates.

What problems is Wrike solving and how is that benefiting you?

With Wrike a better management of working time is achieved, and it becomes easier to centralize traditional communications with customers. The fact of being able to access information in real time within the page helps a lot in making quick decisions in pursuit of commercial quality. Our portfolio management has also been optimized. Our organization has grown thanks to Wrike.

"changing obsolete programs by wrike gave me incredible improvements"
What do you like best about Wrike?

I got rid of most of the programs that I had in the office, since they were old and obsolete, I did not have the functions and tools that I need and I had problems to do good management and maintain a correct communication, start wrike, and each module of the program I love more than the other, it is a modern software with quite intuitive functions that have given me solution to almost all the problems, with I do project management, tasks and I maintain an effective and direct communication with my colleagues, it is also easy for me to do Gantt diagrams, and what I like the most is their security to transfer information and the ease of doing so with excellent integration.

What do you dislike about Wrike?

There is only one aspect of wrike so far that I think they have to improve and that is the price, the program gives solutions and good performance, it does not have system failures or its tools, it is easy to manage and offers ease of management, but the cost is high and it hurts me

What problems is Wrike solving and how is that benefiting you?

Using wrike is a total success, I increase the performance of my work, I even used it when I was out of the country and got a good job, I have good communication and follow-up of the work team, the diagrams are quite accurate and the tools and templates

"My project tool is Wrike"
What do you like best about Wrike?

What most liked our team are the job interview management tools. With Wrike, it is extremely easy to program and execute them due to the high quality of its communication channels center, which unifies traditional communication methods with new ones. We like your web form manager, and your integration with LinkedIn.

What do you dislike about Wrike?

When it comes to creating online stores, Wrike takes too much time to set up. Its cost tracking tool has not been very useful to manage costs efficiently, and keep a good control of them. The fact that all users can create payment reports makes the work confusing, and that anyone can alter the information about expenses.

What problems is Wrike solving and how is that benefiting you?

Wrike has been a powerful ally at the time you need to print Gantt charts, or CRM reports. With this software the ability to print entire pages of content has become an advantage, due to its excellent quality. In this way it is much easier to work without relying entirely on our computers.

"The ideal organizer for my company's projects."
What do you like best about Wrike?

"A good tool to manage work... and life"
What do you like best about Wrike?

One of the things that i appreciate most is ease of use, combined with intuitiveness. In addiction the platform allows user the management of all their different activities, regarding different projects or different funcions. And you can also use the platform for private life engagements, and not just for work.

What do you dislike about Wrike?

There is nothing that we don't like. I think that maybe a critical aspect for the platform is the cost, that is quite high. I think that this should be a tool that the whole company should use, but for large companies like ours, the cost becomes very high.

What problems is Wrike solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before we started using Wrike, we don't have any project management tool. I'm the project manager of R&D company's function so i think that for each project is fundamental tha planning. Is really important define all the activities, put it on a Gantt, link activies that have constraints and monitoring with reports.

What do you like best about Wrike?

Generally speaking is essentially a standout amongst the best group the board and ventures programming out there in the market, notwithstanding when you contrast it with its friends and its rivals it stands its ground, it basically carries out the responsibility it needs to do and once in a while it accomplishes more in esteem thinking about the cost. I'm modernly it is a product to pay special mind to in such a case that it continues improving the manner in which it has done over the most recent two years I believe he's going to simply be an A+ programming soon as opposed to later

What do you dislike about Wrike?

One of the difficulties I face with Wrike is the way that it isn't generally simple to set up. In our the present business condition where we are more needing programming and items that could help us in being increasingly successful such items being easy to use both at setting up and during task must be given more thought. I

What problems is Wrike solving and how is that benefiting you?

For what's going on with everything Wrike has improved the manner in which our group works, truth be told, essentially he can just change our dimension of effectiveness. As an individual from a group under a private venture, we normally used to redistribute group ventures two different organizations that will direct how our group is taking a shot at undertakings and that used to gathered additional expense to a business that officially attempting to contend and make it in the commercial center. Be that as it may, on finding Wrike we had the option to improve, get things done inside the bounds of the organization outline and furthermore spare cost why being progressively effective in all ventures. It has decreased miscommunication, confusion and normal slip-ups between colleagues have realized more straightforwardness and a superior comprehension among colleagues. Something else I for one like is the way that it is online and I can sign in to survey what the group is doing, I can likewise convey week by week notice reports which prove to be useful at whatever point you're dealing with any undertakings, additionally the way that I'm ready to make custom organizers and even subfolders, task, and subtasks, include clients and incorporate due dates is ideal for any individual who's endeavoring to deal with a venture. I think it is a one-stop-search for anything anticipate the board, and that is the amount it has altered the manner in which we work together.

"Wrike has greatly expanded our business project management "
What do you like best about Wrike?

Wrike is very oriented towards team collaboration, so it has an excellent group chat tool, and group calendars, which can check all the members synchronized to the same account. It has an excellent control of document versions, which can also be written cooperatively. Wrike has brought us several advantages when paying, as it supports a large number of forms of payment within the platform. That is excellent. We are very satisfied with our investment. Wrike is productive, organized, and it helps us a lot to maintain the order of our project. Something that has caught our attention on this platform is its great facility to integrate many others when using API tools. Online there are an infinity of documents whose purpose is to provide the necessary information to learn to use Wrike in a short time. It is quite practical.

What do you dislike about Wrike?

With regard to monetary management, Wrike is very limited. It does not have billing options for the automation of professional services, and it does not allow to manage proposals of these. Nor can you manage budgets. Wrike lacks audio and video conferencing system (indispensable for teamwork).

What problems is Wrike solving and how is that benefiting you?

Wrike is a project management service based on the cloud, with many alternatives for personalizing them. The platform is managed through an organizational system based on tasks, or "tasks" that are markable, in order to properly monitor the process of each project.

"A work hub that keeps everyone connected and up to speed"
What do you like best about Wrike?

The different sections in Wrike are well-spaced and have a clean design that makes everything easy to find. The visual organizational features like the calendars and Gantt charts are interactive and sync immediately with data and can be adjusted with intuitive mouse click, drop or drag controls. I like being able to tag people to make assignments and messaging more clear. Wrike is also compatible with many business platforms, which makes is great for boosting its capabilities even more.

What do you dislike about Wrike?

The overall functionality and quality of Wrike's features are great, but the pricing per user can be somewhat excessive, especially if the whole team isn't utilizing all of the more advanced features. For basic chatting and file sharing, I'm not sure Wrike's higher-tier plans would be a good value.

What problems is Wrike solving and how is that benefiting you?

For me and my team, Wrike has been a crucial collaboration tool that keep everyone informed and updated on the latest work activities. We can set project deadlines and assign tasks in a very organized fashion that makes everyone's duties more clear. Wrike has also been a good way for everyone to have constant access to working files, so we don't have to rely on slower or more limited file distribution means such as email.

What do you like best about Wrike?

Wrike has a function called project tree that we love, because we can organize our work without cumbersome complications, this is what we were looking for when purchasing this product, in the same way we like the mobile application that allows us to execute and access from wherever we want and Backup in the Cloud, has several features such as its large diagram and, the taskbar in which we can navigate through different teams and groups.

Wrike as software for project management has solved the problems we had in the past such as the delay in each daily task, or not being able to manage well the ideas that were presented, and for which we decided to use this tool, its customer service is of great help and although it is very easy to use they are always ready to evaluate every doubt that is offered to us, and we are sure that they will continue innovating.

The desktop version of the platform slows down the operation of the computer so we had to opt for the web version and the version for mobile devices.

Our institutional relations department worked hand in hand with marketing management to launch a special film series that encompassed different dramatic genres of films made in our country, the intention was to sell the film series in a television pack for subscription in Mexico and Argentina. The project was a success, we managed to manage the entire structure of the workflow and creation of the same through this application, all involved work with pleasure as this platform provides a friendly space for collaborative work, organization and communication.
