BugHerd is incredibly easy and intuitive to use. In the front end, it's as simple to use as adding post-it notes to a whiteboard, and in the backend, its Kanban board is just as easy and intuitive. It allows teams to collaborate on an equal footing for a project and streamlines communication.
It would be great to have the ability to run reports based on the tickets to include in the project wash-up meeting. While this data can be collated manually, it would be great to be able to generate them in the platform when achieving a project at comletion.
Teams are empowered to share and communicate feedback relating to the quality assurance process with incredible accuracy, which in turn reduces email traffic and improves productivity and the end quality of sites.
BugHerd makes collecting feedback, both internal and from clients, SO easy. We get all the info we need in a single task and have a lot of control over the kanban board.
I wish there were more options for the level of access you give users. Right now, there are only guests, members, and admins. It would be great to have something in between guests and members. This is pretty minor, though. I love BugHerd!
As a digital agency, we need to gather client feedback on websites. BugHerd makes this so much easier. Long gone are the days of clients sending over long Word docs with confusing descriptions or random screenshots. BugHerd saves us so much time in collecting and implementing feedback. Our clients love it too!
Being able to share feedback opportunities with clients
unreliable mobile functionality. Sometimes bugherd does not work for mobile checks
Solving the issue with being able to leave feedback on mobile inspector
Our company did a major brand redesign including developing a new website this year. The company we selected to create the website utilized BugHerd to create a visual of the design and allow me to make comments and edits. Without a doubt, I can say BugHerd made a HUGE difference in my experience designing the site. I am a visual person and it can be difficult for me to picture the design or layout based on a description. I was able to see the site and utilize it as if I were a customer accessing it after completion. When I wanted to make a change, I just created a comment. I was able to attach images and pinpoint what changes needed to be made. It makes communication very easy and enjoyable. It was very fun seeing my comments implemented and seeing the website take shape. We have a second website being created now as well and they do not use BugHerd and it has shown me just how convenient BugHerd makes the entire process. If you are considering getting BugHerd, just do it. You will not regret it!
I don't have any major things that were inconvenient with BugHerd. I did truly like the system.
As a customer of a company that designs websites, BugHerd helped streamline the communication process and take a lot of the guesswork out. For example, instead of sending a list of things to fix and finding creative ways to reference the spot I was talking about, I could create a pinpoint exactly where I wanted changes to be made. Communication is key during these kinds of projects, and BugHerd makes communication very natural and easy during the creative process.
Intuitive application which allows clients and designers to annotate dislikes like a pdf.
Doesn't prevent duplicate annotations i.e. multiple clients can comment without realising that they dislike the same thing.
Allows better bug tracking and visual testing whilst allowing clients to confirm likes/dislikes whilst using the site.
So easy to manage QA internally and with clients. I love that it screen grabs the bug, lets you know what platform and operating system the bug was found on and then lets you assign it to the team and prioritize the bug.
Wish it was free like it used to be. But I get it... Would love it if integrated with Asana directly - rather than through Zapier. thats all - otherwise I think its great.
Managing client feedback efficiently. Actioning bug fixes quickly and efficiently. It makes the whole QA process much faster, more accurate, and the team more accountable.
I like that it's easy for clients to use and that they can mark specific points with screenshots. This helps in specific browsers and screen break points.
The extension doesn't work directly in the Brave browser. So if I am going to make comments I have to open Chrome
We're solving a lot of the back and forth that happens with clients and the endless rounds of review. We give them an allotted time to make their comments, once they're done we go through and complete them.
screenshot feature for tasks, link for the web page of the task directly under the task description, task severity is great, but there needs to be more please, It is an upgrade from what I was using before (Asana)
The fact that we don't have the option to not see the tasks in certain columns (ex: I wanna see all the tasks that are in the done column / those that are in the backlog)
I solve Programmations bugs, I solve design errors, I have realised a bunch of projects, and I always go back to Bugherd to do some tasks for me and my team to complete before we publish the website online
It's so easy to use both for the client and for our agency. They plug in their feedback, we make the changes. We also use it internally to task updates and changes. It's a dream come true for a web design agency!
I just wish someone had built this sooner!
It saves countless hours for everyone involved. All the way from the client, to the project manager, to development and design.
The streamlined communication between my team members, designers and clients has proven to be extremely useful. The digest report emails that automatically get sent out help a lot with keeping track of multiple projects at a glance without having to sift through hundreds of emails.
I wish they would incorporate multiple task boards and expand the user roles. My designers don't need to see what my programmers are working on and vice versa. The only thing that is really lacking is the ability to limit what certain members see without making them a guest (which means they cannot see anything and can only comment on the feedback tab).
Client communication and project management have been the biggest use case. During project meetings, we now use bugherd to review what has been done/needs to be done. Really it's just simplified all of our projects from start to finish. I have it open all day and work in it nonstop.
The instant feedback, the fact that it screenshots what I am seeing
I have liked all the aspects, there doesn't appear to be anything missing.
Quick feedback to our developers, able to instantly show them how I see something on my end
The ability to tag issues on a live website
I wish tickets could be grouped by page, for faster resolution.
We are able to collaborate with our team as well as with clients to quickly resolve issues.
The ability to target specific items in a website by the client and add notes and content.
The number of seats that are needed to be purchased when dealing with many accounts
Client feedback and tracking all issues in one location
It's simple and easy to use, it has become central in our Q&A process.
After years of usage, the design and more specifically the color palette could be improved.
With Bugherd, we are constantly improving and fixing our platform. It is amazing to see how such a simple tool can be so powerful.
How easy it is to collate feedback and bug reports on staging websites. Our clients love to be able to see the progress of their feedback and it's great that it's in real time.
Personally, I think the UI could do with an update but that is so minor when you realise its functionality is so amazing!
Using Bugherd means I don't have hundreds of emails from multiple sources about the same project which is a nightmare and things can get lost. Bugherd keeps everything in one place and allows highly specific feedback with so much information available like screen size, OS, Browser, screenshots and now even video capture etc! We have been complimented by clients for using Bugherd as it just makes pre-live/staging feedback sprints so much easier.
Gone are the days of asking the client for a screenshot, what browser or size screen they're viewing from! We love that the tool captures everything in one place.
There is a small learning curve for non-tech savvy clients to overcome and some restrictions when it comes to leaving feedback on mobile.
BugHerd saves us time by simplifying the website QA process.
Collecting feedback on websites can be a hassle, using BugHerd makes it easy to log, track, and complete website edits.
We haven't found a good way to keep clients informed without them seeing some internal communications.
Left to their own devices, clients come up with all kinds of systems for tracking website changes/updates. BugHerd allows us to control how and when they report feedback.
