All the integrations! Slack integrates with many of our data tools, making it an almost one-stop shop for alerts and messaging. Its search capability is comprehensive and makes find past messages easy to find. Additionally, Slack is easy and fun to use.

I wish you could customize a bit more in slack (the fact that command + k does not create a hyperlink is annoying). Additionally, I do not use the calls function as it is often buggy and less clear than Zoom. Notifications sometimes get lost (I wish they had an option to auto-remind you of DMs where you never responded)

I work in a completely remote workplace and Slack makes it easy for all of us to stay connected. Being able to find old messages is extremely helpful for documentation purposes. Since Slack is our predominant communication method, having all past conversations at the tips of your fingers is crucial.

Slack offer hashtag for topic conversations for particular items.

I can't recall the last issue that I encountered while using this tool.

Slack huddle feature makes it easy to communicate via instant messages.

The thing i enjoy the most is that i can get ahold of work collegues without their phone numbers, which i find less annoying. Phone numbers are more personal which i do not need.

I don't like that you can permanently turn off the notifications, this is more of a user feature, but our work is 24/7 and some people don't like to get the notifications

The problems slack is solving is that we are constantly able to communicate, which helps our work move along a lot quicker than if we were waiting for emails to come through

I like how Slack becomes a space to talk about certain topics in different channels, have direct communication with team members and establish processes

Communication between teams can get really disorganized through emails and completely informal throught text message services such as whatsapp. Slack helps keep these conversation all in one place and section the conversations through channels, helping keep everything a bit more organized, formal, professional and within the schedule of everyone on the team

Slack is highly regarded for many good reasons. Its speed, lightweight, quick ability to make rooms, calls and ping people directly. However one that doesn't get sold is the amount of fun you can have on Slack and all the plugins that enable that. We have polls, gifs, video chats and it all makes WFH so much more bearable

Slack sometimes loves to disconnect me out in the mornings, not sure why but its a bit of an inconvenience.

As stated before, when working from home you lose any sort of human connection behind the screen. Through slack I have found it easy to connect to coworkers and befriend them.

Quick intercompany connection, especially when working in a remote environment

It seems very buggy at times and the notifications sounds get a little redundant

I'm not sure, I've seen minor bug fixes, but overall is a nice interface for communicating with colleagues. I wouldn't say it more or less makes me more productive.

The chat is excellent. Integrations work well. Enjoy it a lot more than teams. History, ease of search and great video/ screen share when you need it.

It is solving the communication issue for our remote team. Being able to communicate, take notes and have the correct chats for every workflow is invaluable.

Slack has a very intuitive approach to organizing and categorizing its information. There are plenty of 3rd party integrations and commands available and I can run multiple workspaces for multiple clients or jobs from the same window without having to switch products.

The channel lists could use some retooling to allow for better organization. I'd like more flexibility to create folders and move all channels wherever I wanted or even color code them for quick reference.

My team is completely remote, so an easy and intuitive way to communicate via IM or video or voice all in one is a game changer. I also like how multi-faceted the platform is in pulling data from other apps into a centralised database of searchable information.

Everything on Slack feels professional, but with instant feedback like a chat room. The sharing of outside sources and links is particularly helpful with group products.

Slack notifications had a little learning curve at first, so I received the right amount of notifications for particular channels. It would be cool if Slack could batch process all notifications for specific time windows during the work day. I'm sure this already exists and I just haven't learned about it yet, they seem to make everything else as intuitive as possible.

Slack helps my coworkers and I communicate brief ideas and comments to each other and to work groups.
