We liked being able to manipulate and create the web pages on our end without having to hire a custom coder. This feature was super helpful for quick changes in copy, content, or holiday season!
Squarespace wouldn't support integration with many apps we needed to add to our store for our business to run smoothly. The embed code widget did not correctly showcase our media.
With Squarespace, we can sell our product direct to consumers, as well as in chain stores.
Squarespace is user-friendly and self-explanatory. For someone who is new to website building, I was able to create a website that I exactly imagined.
I don't like that you cannot drag items around on the website builder. If you could add a text box or move a textbox without having to add a whole new page and change the layout, it would be beneficial.
Easier access to fitness advice. I am able to reach a larger audience.
I liked how they gave an array of different templates, but they can all be customized to best fit whatever site you're looking to have. I like that Squarespace has capabilities to intergate with several other systems. I also really like how easy it is to host and claim a domain!
I wish there were more options for templates for photography hosting, something that gave a little more dynamic interest.
I have solved the problem of getting my photography work in front of potential clients. I have also realized how easy it is to refresh content when nescessay.
The best thing about Squarespace is the ability to create a website populated with products that are ready to sell. I am in process of launching a new business and so far, it has been so easy to use!
There are no downsides to using Squarespace. It took me less than an hour to get set-up.
I personally don't have the time to build a website and manage sales both offline and on-line. Squarespace integrates this seamlessly. I can focus on selling product. I also love the reports, it will make my life easier during tax season.
Very user-friendly and easy to customize! No need to mess with difficult code on every customization.
I wish it were easier to resize photos in blog posts.
Professional blogging platform for paid posts. This helps me make more money as a professional writer.
You literally don't need another program - everything is already into it (analytics, email newsletters, setting up your own email) and it's so customizable. It's also helpful how thorough the resources are that the website provides.
There is definitely a little bit of a learning curve to the program and it can be hard to figure out where something is or how to do something
I'm using it to help a musician I'm managing promote herself. There's so many different features - she can do event listings, sell products, link to other sites, do her emails, get analytics, and more, all in one
Love it all! Templates, ease of use, clean design.
Sometimes the tech is a bit wonky and need to play around with placement.
Made my own website and clients
I enjoy how easy Squarespace makes website creation. All of the building blocks to create a solid and fluid website are at the ready.
There isn't much I dislike about the product.
We are reaching broader audiences with the newsletter subscription option.
This website provider has been the easiest to get to grips with, they offer a massive range of tools, to make your website look at it's best!
I sometimes have trouble wit alignment on different screen sizes i.e things will be placed 'off-centre' on a phone, compared to a computer screen.
How user-friendly the platform is, and there are all sorts of tutorial videos to help you out in different areas.
It’s ease of use unlike any other web builder out there!
I dislike the customer service. There are times I can’t get the help I need.
I have an easy to use web builder and I now no longer wonder if I can build a website.
The ease of Squarespace's interface is useful.
Nothing. Squarespace made obtaining my domain and designing my website very easy.
The benefit of Squarespace is the ease in which I am able to update my website to add new content. It is truly great.
It's so easy to use, highly customizable and gives you a professional and easy to update site
Built in integrations for payment processors and email lists are limited
It's the easiest, most beautiful, most professional looking site builder out there
It’s pretty easy to implement for small businesses.
All of the different apps. They don’t automatically sync.
Personal site space and easy to maneuver for customers.
I used Squarespace to create a landing page for my start up. Squarespace reduces the costs of creating an online presence for a new business, since there is no need to pay for custom backend development. The biggest pro of Squarespace is that the end results are beautiful, thanks to the templates and built-in library of images and logos. It is well within the reach of someone with no graphic or web design background to create a professional-looking site. Very impressed overall.
The use of a template does naturally reduce the customisability of the site. For some purposes, it will be necessary to hire a developer to create add-ons.
Squarespace is very cost-effective, since you can create a professional-looking website without hiring a professional. The template approach means that there is no need to pay a developer, which has reduced the early costs of starting a business.
Squarespace is so easy to use! As a designer, putting together visually driven websites was a breeze. I've put together 4 different websites on squarespace, for very different businesses and with different content with ease.
Sometimes the templates can get repetitive, and coding for special features can be a little complex for the average user.
Easy, beautiful, engaging websites without having to hire a web designer. Score!
It is easy to create webpages, edit sections, customize, and integrate
We are beginning to outgrow Squarespace's ability to hold the amount of web presence we have.
Website platform and hosting. Ease of use for people with little to no web development skills is great for a low capacity team.
I like the UX/UI very easy to use as a beginner and in the end, created exactly what I was looking for
The formatting is a little difficult to get a handle on - ex. placing pictures side by side and making them all equal sizes.
Engagement with our community and brand promotion.
It’s very easy to set up a website and add content. There are so many layouts to choose from. I love how easy they made it and I love how my website looks.
Trying to figure out the SEO. I wish they had more information on how to use SEO to get more visitors to the website. I’ve never used it before and I still don’t fully understand how to implement it.
No problems other than trying to figure out how to use the SEO pieces. The benefit is that it’s affordable and potential clients can contact me through it.
Easy to use. All the themes are beautiful.
Much more expensive than competitors. I think charging you to use the platform and then taking a percentage of each sale is disgusting. Wish that it integrated with more third party apps like Wordpress and Shopify do.
Squarespace takes all the design work out of building a website for my business and easily accepts payments.
It is great how everything is integrated into Squarespace and you can set up a ton of items right through the SquareSpace dashboard like a business email. There are also a large amount of integrations which are are super simple to add to your site.
I dislike the flexibility WordPress has and Squarespace does not. With Wordpress, you can do a lot of with the design of the site right through a visual builder like Divi, Squarespace is somewhat restricting with elements in the visual builder.
Squarespace allows for an easier solution over WordPress. It is a quicker setup without having to install lots of plugins like I would need to if I want the same features on a WordPress site.
