Easy to implement in code. Very fast(< 50ms) for pushing events. Provide feature like charts and dashboard to create visual charts.
Amplitude not have alert notification to slack and email based on event data rule which is very required in case we handling exception events.
Collecting events happened in system and helping us to create segmentation chart to see individual type of event and funnel to see user journey.
Advanced analytics functionalities are extremely intuitive, which reduces the barrier of core SQL/Querying language skills, that not everyone possesses. On top of that, the visualizations are absolutely effective and aesthetic.
Absence of tutorials on how to use advanced features.
Helping me understand my customers, and products better. Helping me set up metric tracking, and alerting faster without the need for engineering resources.
Ease of Use Intuitive Help Resources are robust (could use an update)
Causation and Correlations are iffy Analysis that require a little bit of complexity are difficult to get at
Analytics is our data bible, we use it in all areas of the business.
The flexibility of segmentation. Variety of the report types. Excellent UI and fantastic support. New Experiment package is very helpful
The experiment package is still being developed, so it is changing very often. Also, it would be nice to be able to do a segmentation by "latest value" of user propery other than the value at the time of the observed event
Analysis of user behavior. A/B Tests. Investigation of support cases. Cross product (Portfolio) analysis
All features it includes. Cohorts, segmentation, events grouping, easy to work with user attributes, and events attributes. The tool works fast. Good design. Detailed guides on how to use data to grow products faster.
Everything is okay. I use Amplitude for a few years and had no problems with it.
Understanding what features are used the most. Understanding who are the customers that use our product for a long time
- Ease of use. - Data and events management made amazingly simple. - Live events streams. - Easy charts and dashboards building and sharing. - The team is very supportive and helped up through our instrumentation hiccups. - Segment integration.
- A little learning curve in the beginning, but it is to be expected of such tools. - High cost for the next plan after the free plan. It could be worth it depending on your needs but would love to see a lower package or at least a customizable one.
Amplitude helps us to review the customers' actions in aggregate and determine the usability of different features. It reduces our PM team's need to ask the Data team to answer every question about the user behavior they have.
I was set up in Amplitude in no time. For me, the speed is what I like best. So simple to set up. So powerful to dive in.
I really can't think of much. It's one of the best dashboarding tools I've used.
Getting quick and easy access to information on how our users are engaging with our product.
It is really easy to create charts and dashboards in Amplitude. The UI is intuitive. Amplitude reports help me get a better understanding of my ad campaigns performance by giving me insights into the post-conversion behavior of users I acquired.
Some types of charts have unpleasing limitations. If you group data by some characteristics, Amplitude shows you only the top 7-12, etc groups. You can enable manually to see additional groups on charts, but after refreshing the page, changes might be reverted back by Amplitude. Also, it isn't very convenient that the colors on charts change every time when I refresh the dashboard.
If you have a long period from a sign-up to the final conversion action, traditional web analytics solutions will not be able to give you the full picture of how different cohorts of your users behave. Especially, if these users use different devices while they are on this journey. Amplitude is a great tool to fix it.
Amplitude makes it easy to monitor trends in specific metrics and dig deeper as needed. My favorite is the dashboards and the ability to click into them to adjust.
Amplitude's interface takes a bit of time to get used to. And if you don't know how your organization's data is set up, it becomes challenging to surface the right data.
Ability to surface insights and analyze product data.
The ease with which we can integrate it with our application and ease of viewing customer data.
We sometimes struggle to create charts but it is nothing too hard to figure out with some tinkering.
We can view application data very easily and now we can understand user behaviour much much better
Being able to switch between funnels and segmentation is extremely helpful.
When funneling, user paths can be very vague, especially when looking into alternate paths that users have taken.
With the removal of Facebook Analytics, Amplitude has been great for tracking user experiences.
Easy to use report builders and filter functions.
Amplitude fulfills majority of needs for analytics integration with other platforms like SFDC, Braze, etc.
Identifying trends and patterns in our communications to patients, as well as their engagement.
The powerful analytical tools give the user the possibility of discovering key insights to improve the product that they are managing. Additionally, you can share dashboards across the company.
The dashboards are not at the level of power bi o tableau. This causes that the company imports the amplitude data and re-process it again to have the information in one source of truth
The complexity of calculating, cohorts and behaviors of the users of an app. The difficulty in analyzing a specific cohort of app users in a determined timeframe.
- Ability to capture any metric I can think of. - Ease of analysis and presentation using their charts. - Charts are easy to create but they have lots of advanced features. - Amplitude's customer support have answered all my questions.
Nothing I can think of so far, we have been using it for a couple of years.
We had no visibility on our web application, after adding Amplitude we have learned how our users are using the application which can help us plan for new features and improvements. Additionally we can now see performance metrics and errors as they happen in production.
Amplitude analytics shows the perfect amount of detail so that you can understand the data quickly and make meaningful insights from it.
The dash boarding features are a little more challenging to get the hang of, but very useful once you do.
We get to see and understand how our users are navigating the site, this gives us a better understanding our of conversions ao we can take informed action to improve our product.
