Being able to scale up and down my droplets as I require. Spinning up droplets with a couple of clicks is very simple. Administering backups and restoring CLI access after changing CLI - also really simple and helpful

The time I've tried to create a custom image and reuse it - I failed to get exactly what I wanted. That could have been an error on my parts.

I want a simple service where I can adminster the software and technolgies that I want to use. This provides exactly that and gets out of my way.

I like it's simplicity, I've used other providers as linode, aws too but digital ocean is the most straight forward solution one could ask for, one click deployment, no need to worry about anything else, and while it manages all the boring tech stuff, it still gives you 100% complete control over your VPS or droplet in this case!

The 'Backup' service could be better; it sometimes simply doesn't work, or at least in my case didn't work; other than that, the best alternative to all the other . The backup that should have been present wasn't on the list , the day it was needed! I also asked the support but no help.

I deployed multiple of my personal and company servers in their droplets, currently 2 of them are live, It helps me host all my python web servers that require more control than provided in heroku etc.

I keep forgetting they exist because their services are so reliable. Solid infrastructure.

I've been a user for more than 6 years and the only "issue" i have is that they don't offer a smaller managed postgres instance. That's the only nitpick I have.

Deployment of new droplets is easy and fast; I have total control of the OS, no firewall to quickly test services and deployments, and a wide variety of locations to chose from.

Outside the normal droplet functionality, the use of apps and images and the market I think it could be more streamlined to make it more approachable to end users.

As part of my job I need to be able to test different software products, set up different networking scenarios, and try different deployments. Digital Ocean is great for this. Just create and destroy droplets on demand.

A very high quality poetry and server provider, they take care of my every need and when I have a problem they solve it very quickly

DigitalOcean is the best VPS hosting provider I've ever used. All the performant specs are incredibly amazing and it provides a fascinating hosting experience. The user interface is pretty simple to use and the feature designs and placements are easy to locate. I currently host two (2) websites under a single droplet (shared VPS) and what amazes me the most is that although the VPS is shared, it's still super fast. It was super easy for me to install Ubuntu 18.04 OS and run Cyber Panel on it and with all my DNS records fully managed by Cloudflare, I get the best performance so far. DigitalOcean is also affordable and reliable. It offers greater possibilities to host web apps and websites no matter my budget and expectations. The support staff is very friendly and proactive. They provide help series of follow-up emails for each new client that joins their hub and there are several helpful beginner guides for server configuration and other problem troubleshooting purposes. I enjoy its payment flexibility- this enables me to pay only for the resources used. No long-term commitment--it's the best! I would have given it 20 stars if possible.

I discovered that most server locations are only based in the first-tier countries--What about some of us who are from the third (3rd) worlds? Not all my websites come from the US, CA, UK, or AU. I think there should be servers available in South Africa or any other part of Africa which can enable us to provide a quality browsing experience to our users from Africa. It this could be done, I think DigitalOcean will be better even.

DigitalOcean hosting is the number website hosting solution that I'll ever recommend. I feel very comfortable with it and it gratifies my performance requirements. It's with all assurance and confidence that I firmly recommend it.

I have used Digital Ocean for more than a year for hosting my Website and undoubtedly this is the best Cloud Hosting provider in the market with competitive pricing from $4 a month. They also provide a free trial with $200 credits that lasts for 60 days

One thing I dislike about DigitalOcean is that their droplet backup service is pretty bad the droplet gets backed up only once a week, also the migration from digital ocean to other hosting provider is not easy at all

I use DigitalOcean for hosting my website. DigitalOcean provides droplets which are equivalent to EC2 in amazon, but it is definitely more reliable than AWS. My website never went down with Digital Ocean

Came here from AWS and i'll never go back unless the service i need is not available inside digitalocean. They have few services to offer compared to other cloud providers, as late 2022 they lack of AI accelerators ang GPU units but if you need a standard solution with a lot of bandwidth ,CPU and fast storage, stop here!

The entire platform is super easy to use. The main tools used in the cloud are available. Transparency with monthly expenses is also a strong point.

One of the weaknesses is that it does not have data centers in Brazil and does not have payments in our local currency (Brazilian Real).
