User friendly interface Easy to see and mange schedule
The software does what it's suppose to do, so nothing to mention that would qualify as a con.
Overview of schedules for employees and managers. This makes resource planning a lot easier.
Easy to use and visual making for quick and easy viewing of resources being managed for my team.
Look and feel could do with a little more polish.
SIngle repositiory to view resource bookings and availability. The visual style makes for easy referencing and time efficiency.
Float gives me an instant view of what my team is working on day to day and in future. The filters allow me to show just the information I need. Tags allow project managers to book the correct resources for specific tasks.
The interface was very slow to scroll, however a recent update improved this. A feature I would personally like to see is history, as currently there is no way to see if a booking has been pulled or moved.
Allowing project managers to book developers themselves based on tags for disciplines. It saves me having to do all resourcing myself.
Nice modern UI, simple to use and user friendly.
Performance is a bit lacking for many entries. Pricing is steep for bigger companies.
Project and team planning.
Ease of use and a clean smooth experience with no clutter
Flexibility of days - not supporting splitting a day to hours
sync between other team members - who's doing what, when and where
The UI is good and is very useful to track all my sprints in the company
Sometimes figure out what can or can't do is a little bit hard and maybe the list visualization is not super intuitive to
Organization among springs
The ease of use of the product. Everything is intuitive and straight forward.
Slow loading times and the scrolling between weeks for multiple employees at once.
Weekly planning is running much more smoothly with the use of Float.
Really easy to use. very practicle. I can easily understand what's going on in the company.
It would be great to have an app on mobile as well.
knowing who is free for the moment.
Float is easy to use and can be picked up in minutes, allowing anyone to become quickly acquainted and start making collaborative resource decisions.
Float could do with some further integration of other common project management tools and features. It is good at what it does but I would like to see them produce a wider software suite which includes other resource management tools such as time logging.
Out team is able to work collaboratively and effectively to solve resource issues using float in a digital design space.
Very easy to understand and use, requires almost no team training at all.
It's been getting a bit more complicated and slow with every improvement. I hope this can be solved soon, because I love this tool.
We can see what the teams are doing so clearly, and they have instant and easy access to their tasks.
Float is quick and easy to use. It takes no time at all to create a new project, add resources and allocate the resources time on the project. It's also easy for our team members to login and see their allocation for the coming weeks.
I haven't found a way to zoom in. The blocks are sometimes difficult to see. I've tried only selecting one person but that doesn't change the size or give me the ability to adjust the zoom.
We use Float for a resource allocation overview. We don't get into the day to day details. We use it to show a projects length, who is assigned to the project and how many hours a day they should be spending on this project to forecast whether they should be assigned to any new projects coming in.
Being able to use color schemes for all blocks. Easy access for users and easy to add new users when needed. Being able to slide blocks and set certain hours etc.
Blocks are really big and take up the whole screen. If I want to see the whole team i have to zoom out so far that I am not able to read the blocks annymore. This makes working with Float difficult in some situations to match schedules.
Creating rosters for the team if they have early or late shift, or working from home or the office. Makes it easier for me then using an excel sheet for follow up.
It's great that Float updates live. I can have a chat with my account service team and watch the schedule populate as they fill it in. Being able to see my availability at a glance (or whether I'm over capacity) is a great feature.
It would be better if I could disable email reminders from float at a user level. I could not find an unsubscribe option when management decided I needed a daily reminder email.
It is benefiting management. It helps me better understand what I do day to day but ultimately the information will help with forecasting etc.
The flexibility, the drag and drop edititing of schedules is awesome!
I wish this would be connected to a powerful project management service.
Keeping up with everyones schedule - both my team and other teams.
Relatively easy to use interface, with a view that helps project managers see what the upcoming weeks/months look like in terms of resource commitment. There are also functions like adding phases to projects that are pretty useful.
Any time, as a resource manager, that I need to add single day commitments in the middle of a longer commitment, I have to stop the longer commitment short of the day needing to be planned, put the day's commitment in, and recreate the longer commitment to resume after the day being planned. This is a huge headache when putting in things like one-day trainings or other commitments that aren't in the "time off" category. There could also be additional tie-ins to other software. Having to manage a forecast in Float and then do other management (time entries, project/task management, etc.) is not very efficient.
Float allows me, as a resource manager, to forecast things out like long-term project commitments and days off for things like holidays. It also allows me to see how a forecast matches up against a budget if needed.
Easy to see which work I'm booked for on a daily basis
The email updates for when a booking is changed could be clearer
Checking booking. It's a time saver.
I know what I’m doing everyday and Can Refer to it when other tasks come up to manage expectations
It’s not got many things to dislike at al all
Wn projects are under or over resources and when people are unaware of what other people are doing
The integration into other applications we are using is one of the main reasons for using this application.
Till now we haven't encountered any problems with the application.
As a company where scheduling is critical, we need a reliable solution to assist. Our scheduling is made easy with this application.
It's a nice visual tool that encourages collaboration.
Integration with another tool would be helpful to reduce the software stack.
Float enables us to work more collaboratively and have a complete overview of each person's workload.
It was easy to see what my team members were up to week to week.
Would like better capacity for integrations. We also use teamwork for project management and ultimately shifted from float because it did not integrate.
