How easy it is to use! Also, the database of information for commonly asked questions is quite useful.
I wish that there were a few more functional templates because, at the moment, most tend to be quite artistic and photo-focused. I realize that this is the niche, but some clients prefer a simpler presence.
It allows businesses to have a simple online presence, even if it's just a landing page. Plus, it allows a lot of people who are freelancers and self-employed to quickly display their portfolios, etc.
Squarespace's templates are sleek, modern and FAST! I absolutely LOVE Squarespace as my site has never looked more professional and it has never been so responsive! And they also are serious about making your website professional and secure! They offer SSL certificates for encryption plus HSTS, bulit in G-Suite (Gmail emails) for my site so that I can have say "[email protected]". That is essential for any website and it solidifies your professional look. They also provide built in social media integration, a full e-Commerce platform, SEO optimization and in-depth analytics! Their prices are also very reasonable. I cannot afford their annual package at this time, so I am on their monthly package. And for me, having my domain and 2 emails under Gmail, it's only $26 a month! That is cheap!
I have no dislikes for Squarespace at this time.
I was originally using the outdated Webs.com. Their templates were stuck in 1999. My customers did not take my business seriously because of my old, slow and outdated website. When I switched to Squarespace however, I noticed immediate that their templates were modern and their features I listed above would make my website look more serious and professional. All of this helps make my customers feel safe and they trust my brand and website.
Freedom to design your website however you please and ease of use
Membership cost is a bit pricey but expected

The squarespace platform is stunning and mostly easy to use. Your website will appear seamless to visitors but will also look as though you've put a ton of time into it even though you didn't! Yay!
Sometimes it can be challenging when you first start using the platform. The templates can be difficult to search through and switching templates is a huge challenge as I have had to re do my entire site before just to change the template. It takes a little time to familiarize yourself with the tools on their website building platform, but once you get the hang of it, it will go off without a hitch.
I don't know how to code or build websites and squarespace has allowed me to build a business website as well as a stunning online portfolio for my freelance work. It's allowed me to get jobs because my website is easy to navigate and visually gorgeous
I love the look and feel of Squarespace; it is user-friendly and intuitive, but also just has an innate style of sleekness to every design available. I have never seen a Squarespace design I did not like. There are so many options available for users, which is very helpful. The customer service i also great and always available to answer any questions.
The only aspect of Squarespace I dislike is that I don't fully understand all of its features. There are some features of Squarespace that I do not use, but I still feel like I am behind on knowing about everything Squarespace has to offer.
I am solving the problem of having an online presence. With Squarespace, my small, new theatre company is growing its online presence, and can integrate its social media presence to that on the out Squarespace site. Our website also serves as an online portfolio where patrons can see our work, learn more, sign up for our mailing list, and purchase tickets, for example. We are establishing ourselves as a theatre company and expanding our reach through our website.
All of the options for customizing websites.
It can sometimes be a bit confusing for beginners.
We use it for our blog. It works perfectly for scheduling posts and such. We really like using Squarespace.
So easy to use! There are so many great templates and you just drag and drop what you want in. It's so easy to use and always looks beautiful!
So far there is nothing I have dislike about it.
Solving the need for a quality website that is easy to use. Squarespace offers it all!!
Squarespace is the most beautiful and easiest platform to get a business up and running in minutes. The flexibility and ease of changing things is unparalleled.
Nothing, I love it immensely. It doesn't have many faults or none that I can think of.
I set up my own sites plus I have my clients use it too. So easy and very professional site for their new business.
Squarespace is the best website hosting site for those that initially work with a graphic designer, but then want to make changes and do simple updates on their own. The ease of use is fantastic, and the learning curve is low. This product is also competitively priced to other similar website hosting products in the market. However, it is quite a better value than its competitors, as it offers many more features—specifically in relation to those that want to have a graphic designer build the website, but then want to update and maintain it own his or her own.
It lacks some of the integration with other software products that are available with other larger website hosting sites.
Business branding building and information about our business.
I love how easy it is to get up and running with a beautiful fully responsive website. Each template works seamlessly and you have so much control of design options and plugins.
Although the templates are beautiful, sometimes you have to work around them to create some custom elements on your site. This can be a challenge sometimes for people who don't know much about html.
I use Squarespace to build sites for clients. This allows me to provide a beautiful site for them that is relatively quick for me to build, but also gives the client control to go in and make easy modifications on their own.
I like the mobile responsive feature as well as the immediate previews as I work and ability to change templates without making an entirely new website.
Dislike the unnecessary clicks to design the different pages and other things that need to be moved around. Still like it better than Wordpress.
Content creation and strategic communications consulting and management. Benefit is to have an online home on the web that is mobile responsive and secured website.
There are many formats/layouts to choose from and everything is customizable. Squarespace is easy to use (suitable for all skill levels from beginning to advanced). I am exceptionally pleased with my website and how quick and simple it is to make edits.
There is not an option to change your font color/type. It is programmed with the selected template.
I have created my own website that I am proud to show off to family, friends, and employers!
My personal website looks exactly how I want it too. Has the right functionality and feel.
It's hard to find a template that fits what you need. Example: it took me a few hours to finally find a good portfolio template that could professionally display what I wanted while also having complete customization of almost everything on the page.
Squarespace allows me to easily be contacted by interested customers while allowing me to quickly add or change things on my website at the click of a button. It's made it super easy to optimize per the users request.
Square space is great and easy to use as some one who is not knowledges able about UX and web design.
Very limited with the layout options so it can only look so different.
In order to easily provide information on our website.
I liked the simplicity of building a site that would show of my images and brand well as a photographer. I love that I can easily update and customize various aspects of my site. I also love that I can easily hand it off to a web designer for tricker updates and they have the ability to write in the code that they need.
There were some tricky things when first developing the site because my domain name was owned by a different company and I had to switch everything, but their customer support search engine is pretty on point with it's helpfulness.
I've really enjoyed the ability to have contact forms also send to a google drive spread sheet to make sure I don't miss anyone. I also like that I can schedule out my blog posts ahead of time.
I like how easy Squarespace is. Web design can be very difficult, and Squarespace makes it easy for even the person with no web design experience. I like how it walks you through steps. There are a lot of pre made templates that are so beautiful, but you can also customize it to make it your own. It is nice that there are options to do so. I am happy to have any help since I am not as good at web design. So having a template is very helpful for me. I like that I can create a beautiful website in just a few hours.
I wish that Squarespace would come out with some more templates. Especially with protfolio templates. I think that a lot of people have very similar web layouts, and a lot of time it's easy to tell that it is Squarespace. One thing that I also dislike is that it seems they have upped the price by 4 dollars, which is always a bummer.
I like having the option to put my portfolio online, and to make a blog as well. The versatility of it is very nice. Its a good and cheap way to get your stuff out there, in a good looking way.
I love he easy to use builder, easy to connect to other software and very sleek
Over branding (obviously a Squarespace site) and lack of integration with major sites
Good for product testing and landing pages
I love the design versatility of Squarespace. I've been using it for 4ish years for my photography business and I've tried all sorts of templates that allow me to feature my work. I like that the design options are cutting edge and up-to-date, while still offering a variety of styles for a variety of preferences.
I wish that the capabilities of each template could be offered in all templates. One frustrations I've run into time and time again, is finding a template that suits my design preference/needs but then doesn't offer the blog/archive/photo display/etc capabilities that I desire. I appreciate that different templates offer a different look, but I do wish that they would offer more options within the templates. I always end up having to prioritize what I want, and it would be awesome if I could have it all. :)
I've created an online portfolio for my work, a place for customers to look and see what I'm all about, to contact me, and I also use hidden pages to present bids, custom quotes, etc in an aesthetically beautiful way.
It was super easy for me to set up a professional-looking website in order to display my writing portfolio and gain more freelance copywriting and digital marketing clients.
There were some aspects of the design I wish I could control more, such as changing the font in certain sections and veering away from the set templates.
I needed to have a quick way to give my writing portfolio to people. I've created a simple list of links to my work that I can easily send to potential clients now.
Square space is a super to easy use website if you have no idea how to build websites. I used it for my business (restaurant) and was able to have it up and running in hours. It has a low monthly cost and is easy to make adjustments. It looks good on all different screens (iPhone, laptop, iPad)
I honestly can't think of much I don't like about it. I would say make it free but that's not realistic. Possibly a way that they could open their own hosting where you could buy domains that aren't .squarespace like a GoDaddy. Would pay more to not have my hosting paid through another company.
Before we only had a facebook business page, it is great because when people search our business on google it is the first selection. Our traffic on it is very high and it was easy to put the coding in to allow our customers to order online.
