I like that you can have multiple people accessing the same To-Do lists so that you can efficiently designate tasks to specific team members.
I found the program to not be as interactive and accessible as I would have liked and therefore I found it more of just another annoying task to have to log on to the website in order to mark off what I had completed. Perhaps there is an app that I have just not discovered yet, though!
I work at a university and am therefore collaborating on a lot of projects with different team members at the same time. I thought that being able to have multiple shared to-do lists going at once was very beneficial.
Easy to schedule and add events, and for free!
Cannot prioritize tasks thru day or add time of day for due date
I have solved some problems with time management and helped my priority setting
Easily manage your project team list as well as enjoy full integrations with Google business accounts. Intuitive interface.
Sometimes the information entered into the interface can get lost and on occasion work can be lost
Cheap interested btask assignments
I like that it is easy to add new tasks quickly and efficiently. You can choose your own color theme from four colors. It's very similar to Google Calendar.
I don't like that I cannot break down to do lists by several research projects. I work on 11 research projects and it's difficult to keep them all straight. The only option is to pick one overarching theme and utilize it by color.
My team and I are trying to use various to do lists that would make all of the projects easier to manage and so that there can be multiple users who use the same software.
Being able to share and delegate tasks with others.
The price of the premium features. Most of those features should be free.
Being able to share and delegate tasks with others.
Ability to set Priority on tasks on my to do list.
It does not tie into my emails as easily as I would like.
Allows me to focus on the most important tasks.
I loved the mobile app. That platform has improved drastically over the past few years and is fast, responsive, and flexible. I like the color-coding and label features.
If you have a lot of projects with nested sub-tasks, Todoist might not be the best platform online. They used to have an amazing dashboard and reporting feature but they removed it and haven't brought back similar functionality to my knowledge.
I was able to use todoist on-the-go on my phone and tablet to keep track of projects I needed to accomplish. It was a helpful running todo list for simple projects and tasks. When I was working in 12 different schools, this app helped me keep track of the stages for each school and the different needs.
The flexibility of todoist is fantastic. With projects, labels, and custom filters, the possibilities are endless. And the user interface looks good.
There really isn't anything that comes to mind.
Daily project and task management.
Recurring reminders, being able to easily set due dates, categorizing tasks
I wish you could change the status of certain items, like "doing now" so that I know what items are in progress
Small tasks that I want to get out of my inbox, I will create as a task item. That way, I can remember it but am not cluttering up my inbox.
I love the simple structure and usability of todoist, and the seamless interface between the web and mobile versions.
todoist is limited in its task tracking capabilities, and I would like to be able to link tasks between lists. I would also like to be able to create custom time filters and timelines.
My company used todoist for task management before we switched to more robust SCRUM software.
It's connected to the world pretty well, such as having Zapier and IFTTT access, and it handles GTD very well, except for a couple of glaring omissions. It's intuitive and flexible. you can make outline-like projects/subprojects, tasks/subtasks and so on, and the security access is also great. It's one of the best out there. And that's a bit of a backhanded compliment.
The things i dislike are really more like annoyances, but some are real architectural and usability snags that stop things from flowing. For instance, discussions/comments are hard to see or follow, attachments aren't well architected. You can't create a checklist and check things off. its a small thing, but i like clicking in a box or circle and seeing the checkmark pop into the box, or see the task get scored done. I like checking things off. The task lists are crowded, and there's no way to select a "streamlined" view style. Who could guess you have to click on the "comment" icon to attach a file?! I spent an hour figuring that one out. And then i kept forgetting how to do it for a while before it finally sunk in. I still can't get Dropbox to work on my iPhone 6+ on iOS 9.0.3. It says "Please install Dropbox' which is already installed and working fine on my phone. And there's no way to back out of that screen. So, clicking 'Install Dropbox" sends me to the App Store, where the button invites me of course to Open the app. I open it, and then that's that. Going back to Todoist, it's like it never happened. Now it does work for Google Drive, but then once you've added your link (can't actually attach the contents) and you're back in Todoist, it's really hard to describe to someone how to look for the file, since it's in the task inside the comments, which are hidden unless yo edit the task, and then open the comments and THEN you'll see the link to the file. It's little things like that that make it difficult to use Todoist with a scattered group of colleagues rom different companies, and asking them to really use it. I just couldn't get traction with the teams I tried it with. i want so muh for this product to work. it has such potential, but the glitches and the little architectural and usability snags are more than i can manage.
Just basic team task management, with a little collaboration and file sharing.
Easy to keep on adding to-do's in a jiffy
Cluttered interface which can get challenging to navigate once populated with multiple deliverables
This is great tool to dump all your daily work tasks. Helps plan your day ahead
I loved how easily it maintained all my tasks, helped with my email and reminded me of birthdays.
When the update came it eliminated the connection between other apps making it really difficult to use and not as useful.
I used to make lists, manage email to dos through this and birthdays/anniversaries for my team through this app.
I like that there are ways to categorize and organize different tasks
I wish the user interface were more customizable such that I could pick colors and themes that are pleasant and attractive to me.
I needed a way to organize tasks for different projects -- and found that the #hashtag system was easy to use.
Easy to enter in tasks, due dates and information
Doesn't show up unless I click on my tasks
Helping to keep our tasks together and all in one place.
Keeps me organized. Easy to use. Works on browser and app.
I feel like it could be more intuitive. Maybe I am just not using it correctly...
Organizing my team. I can’t imagine not having it. It’s good for long term project but is a hassle to keep up with for short term stuff.
It works on multiple platforms and devices
Reminders category is only available in the premium version
It helps make delegation of tasks easier and helps keep track of various projects
The user interface is fast and is designed to be very easy to use. I like the organization of the apps contents that make it very usable even on the phone.
Many useful features need to be manually connected via IFTTT or api in order to work or else a premium subscription is required. This includes Project templates iCal synchronization Productivity tracking and charts Task comments & file uploads Location-based notifications Add tasks via email Task Labels & Reminders
I have tried many to do and project management apps and what I needed is one to fluidly sync with other apps such as google calendar, maps, email, etc.
I like the reminders that it sends daily to let you know how 'overdue' a task is.
This program became obsolete when we began using a shared platform on Basecamp.
The program is able to remind other people of action items that I needed from them or for them to complete.
It allows me list my task for the day while browsing I used it as an extension on chrome.
It is not accessible except on chrome because I used it as an extension.
Achieve daily tasks with the software
