We use Avature to track candidates and jobs created from VMS and job boards, as well as to submit candidates and for onboarding purposes. We also use Avature to send mass mail.
I had no dislikes; it is a pretty easy tool, and it is also user-friendly; everyone can learn easily and understandably; it is one of the best tools. we are using this tool.
It was very helpful to track all the candidates who were in the submission stage, interview stag, onboarding stage, and about to join stages, and we could send invites by using Avature.
Easy to move candidates through different stages in the recruiting process and be able to audit and track performance
Can't go back and change the status when needed and have to submit a ticket every time to correct it on the backend. Also cannot track the performance month-wise
create, manage a talent pool, a great database, avoid duplications
Avature is the real deal when it comes to recruitment insights using data. It also helps to stay on track with the recruitment process throughout the stages. Very effective.
There was a much-needed design upgrade, with the latest update things are much better. Only the fact we didn't like was very less options to customize or make mandatory in the tool apart from what already exists.
We are solving the data metrics by using Avature, and by using this we can manage the load of our team members and also helps them achieve goals which helps the entire organization.
I like how I can easily search by job title and keywords and location to see any open internal jobs. Or, I can simply just search by location or even just view all open jobs. This way it gives me transparency as well into possible open roles that can be the next step in my career path. By seeing all open jobs, the added benefit is I can see jobs that I didn't even know about that I may be interested in. I also like how I can create job alerts to stay abreast of when jobs I'm interested in are open. Super cool feature! This way I don't have to keep signing in to search. Additionally, I like how I can submit referrals to roles as well and keep track of the progress made with each person that is submitted. The layout is simple and easy to use. I like how there is not much whistles and bells so it just makes it easier to navigate and it doesn't take me long to find what I need. I also like the branding and company-specific pictures throughout the site. It makes it feel much more customized. When I ended up applying for an internal role, it was short and simple as well. It was a short one page form with just a few questions and then a place to upload my resume and cover letter. Really speedy and then afterwards I got an email to confirm. Can't complain.
What I don't like is that when you apply to an internal job, it should show you after you submit it, a confirmation page. I don't remember receiving that and I had to wait for an email back. Also, there should be a dashboard to track progress. This is two-fold. If you submit an internal application, it can be a black hole because you don't know when it's been viewed or if you've been moved on to the next step so lot of suspense. Would be nice to have a list of each application you submitted and where it is sitting or what step you have been moved on to, if any. Also, the same would apply for referrals. We should be able to track on Avature what step our referral has advanced on to. Otherwise, we have to email the HR person in charge or message them and it's back and forth that could be avoided if there was just something on Avature to show that.
We really value career development here. As such, we want to make it transparent when roles are open and with Avature, anyone can search for roles in any department, even ones in departments that they don't currently work in. You are able to apply to any of those roles as long as you meet that qualification. It is refreshing to have such open ability to apply to wherever - whatever location or department. Love that! It's a one stop search for the next step in your career. This also helps with retention because then you can see if there's another role at this company that fits your next step vs searching on job boards and possibly moving to another company. Also, another benefit we have is at least when were growing, we needed hires fast. The best hires often come from referals. The referal system is quick and easy for you to submit people you know that may be a fit for various roles.
Program is excellent for pipelining and tracking candidates in mass
I like the program, nothing impedes my processes in this system.
Ability to glance at candidate in mass for immediate evaluation. It enhances the function of my position in recruitment because I can provide over statistics instnatly
From an administrator perspective, Avature is highly adaptable to our various business needs, and their support team is very knowledgeable about how to shape your user experience around those needs.
My only minor issue is actually a good problem. Avature is always updating and improving features - so much so that you can lose yourself (in a good way) in their extensive "News" section where they explain those updates.
As an RPO, our client needs vary, but my experience is that Avature's adaptability to those needs are as good as any CRM and/or ATS solution on the market.
Avature’s technology platform, forward thinking business acumen/foresight and customer service is far superior to any ATS, HR services company I have every worked with. Avature’s ATS/CRM platform functions unlike any system. It’s flexibility to design the backend to your very specific business needs, far beyond just tracking requisitions, candidates or general reporting. As importantly, for the most part, once an administrator is trained, they are able to make the majority of changes, without having to put in work orders or waiting for the vendor to respond. Even if Avature does execute changes, their service levels are second to none. I have watched on a WebEx they change being made literally as discussed with the Avature consultant. After presenting a number of business and compliance obligations that were very specific to our industry, Avature was able to come to us with specific designs that once built into the system resulted in resolving these critical issues that had been an on-going struggle in the past.
Avature has far exceeded any expectation I could have had with a new ATS/CRM/On-Boarding system. If anything, the issue with Avature is that it is so powerful of a business solutions tool, that until you experience it, you approach it in the box that ATS companies have trained us to be in. With Avature, there isn’t a box….it is provides infinite possibilities.
Avature can easily solve the obvious ATS issues that most ATS companies address, however, Avature’s strong technical platform leaps ahead of other ATS companies in regards to solving business related issues that are components of employment. Two examples are; SOX related process that had been previously conducted by over a 100 separate broadcast and business units was resolved through Avature’s ATS solution. The result has been in 100% compliance, eliminating manual filing and record keeping. Additional compliance notifications that are industry required were sent out by individual broadcast centers manually taking up massive amount of personnel time and effort. Avature’s ATS solution created a design in the backend of the system and eliminated all inefficiencies and the manual process with 100% record keeping and compliance.
This tool is completely customizable and the team of developers at Avature are always up for a challenge. They encourage their clients to push the envelope of innovation.
The platform is not attractive. Very basic looking. Maybe more customization in field capture.
We are currently utilizing avature to manage sourcing, talent community, campus recruiting, event management, interview scheduling, and portal for our entire talent acquisition team.
Flexibility, user-friendliness, simplicity, customer focus
some layouts, some limitations with doing multi-tasking
creating and managing talent pipelines, proactive and strategic recruitment, the CRM function
That we have a dedicated account manager, a training campus and there is so much to discover in the platform
It is easy to spend way too much time in it as it is highly configurable. You need to keep track of what you have already built in to make sure any changes flow in
Talent managing. We're still learning the new enhancements and pipelining options we have available to us. We are also looking at it for reporting purposes
Timing is everything when trying to resolve an unexpected issue and their being conscientious of the needs of their customers makes them a leader in customer service in my opinion.
I would say the restrictions on permissions/access granted to specific actions within the system. Giving the customer more autonomy to make edits/updates to existing features/functionality.
Sourcing for candidates. We are in the food industry, so we have a high turnover, and ensuring our restaurants are staffed at all times is a high priority with our company. And being able to have that pool of applicants and leads continuously ensures that we meet our business's needs.
Avature has done so much for us in terms of streamlining our processes and access to information. It has also helped us a lot in our unique siloing needs to keep our Sales teams, TA/HR, Business Development and Management teams' data separate and secure.
Unfortunately, it is not the most intuitive and user-friendly product to set up, though somewhat expected due to the number of integrations, customizable features and functionality. Also, although Avature's team is continuing to improve and enhance their reporting tools, creating and coding in internal reports can be a bit buggy and difficult to figure out.
One of the biggest issues we had was how do we reduce the number of systems we are using across our teams whilst also keeping the same amount of privacy and security for each team's data. On top of that, how do we streamline the processes we already have in place and reduce the amount of admin work for our operation teams and the amount of data entry of our recruiters. Avature has helped us with all of these issues, from creating unique roles and systems that dynamically silo the level of access each user has, to creating automation flows that reduce the amount of admin work our employees need to do in order for them to focus on more pressing tasks.
Avature's solutions enable the TA functions to provide an amazing to candidates and recruiters. The software is flexible so you can adapt to fast-moving hiring needs.
When you do need Avature to develop customized features, they are usually possible but resources in the development team and support teams can mean you have to wait a while. (but a lot is already in the customers hands so it's not always an issue)
Zoom integration, having a standard integration with video platforms means we can schedule interviews without the need for human interaction.
Very easy to use and the support team was always responsive to any adjustments we needed in reporting and interface.
I think their move to becoming an ATS made them lose sight of what made them cool and innovative at first.
When we implemented it, the company had never used a CRM. The first problem was engagement and Avature's reporting and ease of use helped us create a culture where everyone used it as a normal part of their day to day.
User navigation and ease of workflow
Avature has a high potential in improving upon the current existing robust platform
Integration
The system is very innovative and simple to use, it allows a lot of bolt ins in a modular format so that the system can be personalised to the company’s needs and of the people who will be using the system. It is very user friendly and simply to get to grips with, I like that by clicking on a job title, it Willy aie you back to that page without having to continually use the back button.
Some of the necessary fields in the back end, don’t always show in the front end, so the system stops you from moving forwards without giving an obvious reason as to what you have missed. There are GDPR issues with the system, in that personal details of candidates, such as addresses, dates of birth and pictures, are not blanked out when they are being shown to hiring managers on the system. The only way to do this would be to take them off and then re-upload them as a new profile, which is time consuming and not efficient.
This solves the problem of being unable to track many metrics with an applicant tracking system. It is very helpful to be able to see how long a candidate has been in each step. The recruiter dashboard is also really useful to get an overall picture of how many people are in each stage of the process - this is great for prioritising workload easily. Having all candidate profiles in one place, and letting hiring managers view CVs on the system is a benefit. This also allows all feedback to be collated in one place after screenings and interviews, which is helpful as a recruiter.
I've worked with Avature for the past 5 years. It has grown tremendously since then in its features, customization and ease of use. Our account manager who we meet with every week is helpful and understands our needs really well.
The mobile functionality isn't there yet.
Automated process, ease of applying to a job and onboarding.
Ability to define custom business specific fields at a granular level throughout the system.
Not much to dislike. Would be nice to have a mobile application.
Various workflows for different brands, each of whom have their own identity.
It accesses resumes from multiple sites, which saves a lot of time
There should be a notes area that can be used to collaborate between the the hiring team
Recruiting
I like the journal, the ease of creating lists, reports and requisitions.
The CRM function could be better and notes do not autosave.
Reports and analytics! It's flexible and adaptable in creating new groups, lists, capabilities, etc.
