Sales reps need to be able to juggle a lot of information—especially on high-velocity teams where they’re dealing with 400+ leads per month. How do they manage?
By using a reliable sales CRM to help them manage the work better.
One of the more popular CRM options out there is Pipedrive—but does it live up to the hype? In this Findstack review, we’re taking a deep dive to answer that very question.
Pipedrive describes itself as “the first CRM designed by salespeople, for salespeople”.
While it probably isn’t the first, the rest is true—it’s a CRM specifically designed to fit a sales team’s unique needs and processes. The software is designed to help teams better manage their sales pipelines, making it easier to track leads and opportunities, manage customers, and automate busywork—all in one place.
Getting started with Pipedrive is a super easy process. Before diving into the tool’s actual features, there are only really three things you need to do:
Once you’ve completed these three steps, it’s time to start exploring the platform.
Pipelines and deals are Pipedrive’s (and every other sales CRM’s) bread and butter. They’re visual representations of your sales process, including stages, deal flow, and the status of your current deals.
In Pipedrive, pipelines are completely customizable. You can easily add new stages to the pipeline and adjust the order of stages by dragging and dropping—just click “Edit Pipeline” in the upper right-hand corner.
You can also easily add new deals and view existing ones from the pipeline view. The option to review every deal’s details is especially useful and accessible simply by clicking on it in the pipeline. This includes:
You also have the option to define custom fields for your deals. These can either be marked optional or required—perfect for helping your sales team prioritize key pieces of information in their talks. The “Deals” tab is also where your team will write notes, schedule sales activities, and track availability.
Pipedrive’s communication tracking features are great.
For starters, the underlying organizational system is super intuitive—contacts are organized by dividing them into “people” and “organizations”. You can then link these to the deals they’re associated with and easily check your history of calls, emails, and activities with any of your contacts or deals.
Pipedrive’s email inbox is sales-focused and super intuitive, too. It has a ton of features that speed up the process of managing and sending emails, including:
There’s also Scheduler—a feature that helps you set up meetings without annoying back-and-forths by sharing your availability and letting invitees book time slots that work for them. You can also automatically set up video calls for scheduled time slots on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet.
Last, but (definitely) not least, Pipedrive integrates with a ton of great phone tools, so you can place calls from within the platform. This makes it easy to track your activity, record data, and even automate certain call-related processes—but more on automation in a moment.
One of Pipedrive’s main selling points is its automation features. There are quite a few to unpack here, but there are two main types:
Sales automations are features designed to help you optimize your business’ sales process. Take Sales Assistant, for example—this automation tool creates custom behavior-based cards with performance tips, notifications, and progress updates for each team member on your roster. It also notifies everyone affected by changes to settings and deals, so no one’s left wondering where their recent deals went.
Smart Contact Data is another sales automation tool that pulls in data from sources like LinkedIn, Google, and Twitter to help you get a better understanding of your contacts.
On the workflow side, Pipedrive’s Automations let you create custom actions and processes that are triggered automatically when a certain action is taken (e.g., when a deal changes pipeline stage). These are great for cutting down on admin work and freeing up your team to focus on bigger and better things (like actually closing deals).
Finally, it’s time to talk about Pipedrive’s reporting features.
Starting with the basics, Pipedrive’s sales reports are totally customizable. You can track whatever data points you need, and cut out the ones you’re not s interested in. Plus, there are a few pre-built reports you can use, including:
Pipedrive’s Insights dashboard is great, too—you can turn all your data and metrics into beautiful, interactive charts and graphs that are easy to read (and share).
If you want to set goals for your team, Pipedrive has you covered there, too. You can create goals based on deals or activities, and specify them by adding key details like assignees, types, pipelines, durations, and intervals.
Oh, and if you’re looking for even more customization, Pipedrive has an open API. That means you’re free to build custom integrations that meet even the most specific of reporting requirements.
Pipedrive is one of a select-few CRMs that genuinely feels like it’s saving you time. Its automation features and intuitive interface make it easier to manage contacts, deals, emails, calls, and activities—all without having to manually enter every single piece of data.
It always helps to see information presented visually—and that just so happens to be an area where Pipedrive excels. From the visual pipeline to the Insights dashboard and interactive reports, Pipedrive is packed with features that make it easier to interpret your data.
Pipedrive’s Marketplace is massive. At the time of writing, there are more than 300 integrations available. Plus, the listed tools range from video calling platforms to lead generation tools, so you’re sure to find something that fits your needs.
Pipedrive has four paid plans that you can choose from.
Still on the fence? Don’t worry—all four plans come with a 14-day free trial. No credit card required.
It’s not all good news, though. In addition to the plans, you’ll also need to think about which add-ons you need. Quite a few great features (e.g., Scheduler) are pay-walled behind pricey add-ons that don’t come packaged with the base plans.
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Highly customizable pipelines and fields Highly visual dashboards Massive selection of integrations Easy-to-use automation builder Extensive reporting capabilities Affordable paid plans 14-day free trial (no credit card required) |
No free plan for light users Automations not available on the Essentials plan The add-on system increases the cost dramatically No ticketing system and spotty customer support |
Pipedrive is one of the top sales CRMs for a reason—a few reasons, actually. It packs in a lot of features designed with sales teams in mind, and most features are executed well.
The only real downsides are the result of the company behind the product, not the product itself. If you can overlook them, you’re in for a great experience.
Overall, Pipedrive’s well worth considering if you’re shopping for a CRM—but it isn’t even close to the only option.

Organização da rotina de trabalho de nosso time, tarefas diárias, negociações, tudo em um só lugar.
I love the user interface. It is so easy to use and helps me keep my deals in order and also my prospect follow up is almost cut by half with their calendar feature.
I only dislike the fact that sometimes it does get slow. Even when my internet connection is solid, the software can overload and lag a bit which is understandable
My follow ups are tidy, I know what deals I need to look at in my pipeline, and I also can read the "insights" tab where I can measure my metrics for the previous and current month or YTD.
The best thing about this software is the easy way to manage and follow potential clients, I love that I can add a high amount of information from each client, I like that it is inexpensive, it is also straightforward to use and easy to configure and it has a really intuitive user interface, the learning curve is slight, it allows me to send emails from the platform and it has an active and efficient notification system, I love that it integrates very well with other software such as Mailchimp, Slack, Gmail, and others It is easy to add clients and move them according to the commercial stage in which they are, it gives me excellent and stable communication between departments and it is very visual so it is easy to follow up.
I wish you had more marketing features, but I really have no complaints about this app.
Its most significant benefit is that it is straightforward to navigate, it is excellent to keep the customer database organized and also the sales offers, it allows me to have customer information, reminders, email system, notes, attach files and more. I love that it also syncs very well with the Google calendar, it also has integrations with marketing and analysis software, it is very customizable and intuitive.
Clear outline of deals arrangement and acknowledgment processes. It has assisted us with turning out to be significantly more productive as a business.
Generally, a few times of refreshing, this is fixed. That is the main thing that could be improved for us.
Our accounting page technique was burdensome and in-proficient. The business issues I am addressing are CRM issues.
Super easy Interface and low learning curve
Setup and signing of offers and invoices is just release need to find out if this works now
automated contact and lead tracing
Pipedrive is super customizable and allows us to have our flows of sales, as well as automation and reports. Some SAAS CRM has functionalities you need to accustom to. In this case, we felt the system was accustomed to our reality.
I believe the insights could be more exciting calculations.
We centralize information about our clients and interactions with them. We have an integration with our proposal software, as well as our email platform. We're looking into centralizing with our ip telephone software also. All in all, all the information related to a client, their resources and deals are automatically and well organized.
Agile, easy to understand and set up. Affordable. Helps drive our pipeline, engage our customers, schedule followups and stay on schedule.
More limitations in terms of using as a marketing CRM than others. Confusing on how to merge or delete contacts when you have multiple. bcc doesn't integrate with email providers as well as Salesforce or HubSpot.
Previously the company wasn't tracking leads and deals, so conversations and interactions would be very reactive and passive. Pipedrive allows us to schedule follow-ups, track deals through custom stages - and generally be on top of our pipeline.
You can be up and running within hours at very moderate cost. Cost is per user, not by contacts, I.e. it just is like a 'fee' per sales person and easily justified. It works flawlessly on desktop and mobile and you can quickly customize the most important thing: your pipeline. How many stages and how want to call them is a simple configuration exercise.
It really focuses on making reps more productive. If your sales requires a lot of others involved that also need to use the information and share, it is not designed for this.
Get away from you excel customer list or using your ERP system as a contact database- pipedrive is the professional but incredibly simple and intuitive way to get your salesforce to work more structured and consistently stay in touch with clients and drive deals through the pipeline.
-It's easy to use, not super complicated like other CRM tools. -you can add fields, create flows according to your sales processes. -CS team is really great, you can reach them out through the chatbot in the product. They don't give up until your problem is solved. I've tried many CRM's including Zoho. Pipedrive is really easy to use, set up, and start using it. Having an easy tool in Sales teams is really important, to be honest, they don't have time to figure out the tool, all they want is visibility and that good at Pipedrive. Another good part is they have a mobile app, ı think this is good to track all your deals
-workflows could be better. You cannot create complicated workflows. Also, there are some other issues that they solve related to workflows. The triggers are driven by activities and not time passed. It's also not possible to trigger automation on emails. -Zapier workflow also needs some improvements -Pipedrive form could be more better, you cannot add hidden fields or cannot customize a lot. - Email tool could be improved, you cannot organize the inbox. Also, they may add auto email options after Pipedrive's form submission. - 'Leads' functionality could be improved, it's is currently on Beta I believe that they will soon. -If you want to sales represent rotation on deals you need to buy an extra tool which is not super expensive but unnecessary, Pipedrive could add this as a free product.
-CRM -Sales Pipeline -Emails -Tracking of customer information -Easy to manage deals
Pipedrive is easier for reps to understand and adopt because it focuses on rep activities that drive pipeline creation and development activities.
If you need more advanced features and programmatic access, there are more feature-rich solutions.
I am building a standardized and unified view of the status of the pipeline across several reps with different skill sets. As such, I need a unified view in the UI that keeps everyone on track.
I liked everything about PipeDrive. It is a very user friendly tool and helps keep everything organized. I really like the live chat and the Deals layout, making it very easy to see and understand what each status is and what has been done and what needs to be done.
There was not anything about PipeDrive that I did not like, it is a great CRM.
Keeping organized all in one tool. Many different tools built in the CRM makes it even easier to use and so convenient.
It is very very user-friendly. You can use the app on your computer or your phone
There are a lot of updates that will come through and change your reports without you knowing it
We are able to track the sales reps realization rates and also what areas we are not doing good sales wise
The price is right! Pipedrive helps sales rep sell more. It’s easy. It’s intuitive and flexible. I continue to recommend startups use pipedrive for it's speed, simplicity and being the ideal data model sandbox to refine and perfect your model as you grow. This allows companies to reduce their spend on high-priced salesforce consultants and implementation.
Should include basic email marketing/marketing automation capabilities. (updated 7/21) More and more of the features I need are now included in Pipedrive. I would like to see more integrations and depper integrations to reduce spend on other tools.
Managing reps, deals and forecasting. Email automation and lead capture with their webforms. I haven't used their chatbot feature too extensively but I have played around with it and it is pretty good from my cursory review.
Helps to keep on top of your leads and sales funnel
There is no bad thing to write home about.
I Keep in regular contact with clients and prospects as well as for maintaining weekly follow-ups on my leads. PD is a perfect tool.
Pipedrive is a great tool for small businesses. It's simple to use, and it does what it's supposed to do. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a CRM.
Nothing comes to mind! They should not change the simplicity of the product and user interface.
Lead tracking and sales management.
It is software with capabilities that favor customer relationship management in my organization. Its interface is user-friendly and straightforward; it is pretty easy to navigate and provides everything we need to enter the market, understand customers and offer them the right products and services according to their needs and availability. It has helped improve essential processes that go hand in hand with sales.
The software is excellent, its performance is optimal, but it is constrained to make integrations with third-party tools; if it improves, this could help us take advantage of our tools more effectively, save time, and reduce efforts.
It meets our interests; it has helped us expand our reach, capture the audience we need through campaigns, follow up with customers and increase our successful business. It has performed excellently within my organization, and we have noticed an increase in our revenue since we have had Pipedrive; it has everything we need from a CRM and more.
Light-weight yet highly versatile Intuitive design Great support Good documentation Extensible and easy to use integrations Visually appealing
The rigidity of the automation tools Lack of email inbox organization (no folders, subfolders, etc.) Few labels for tagging elements within the system
Pipedrive is the core system in our organization - everything else is formed around this central core Tracking of customer information Easy to manage deals
One of the worst things about new software is that a busy person takes time away from sales to learn a new system. This is not an issue with Pipedrive as it is intuitive and you can learn it as you use it for the first time.
Sometimes it doesn't find the lead information if the match is not exact.
It keeps us organized and allows the sales manager to see progress.
