Quickbase simplifies app development, making it efficient to create and manage applications. The versatility and customization options align well with the fluid nature of my role as an applicationd admin and allow me to share low-code no code options with yhe folks I create solutions for! It was challenging at first but, I'm always excited to learn new things!
Quickbase was challenging at first due to the interface, it can be visually overwhelming.
I'm able to come up with custome solutions for multiple users with one application.
The library of items so you don't have to start from scratch
There are No dislikes for me in the system. It works well
Credentialing and process improvement and tracking
Ease of use and ability to customize every aspect.
It can sometimes be difficult to find a specific answer in the support resources - even if it is a basic issue.
We use QuickBase to build Apps that both generate in-depth metrics for our business as well as to manage projects. These applications in turn provide us with the information we need to make management decisions and ensure the customer service we deliver is exceptional.
Easy of development and reporting for end users
UI can be clunky at times especially tables and filters
Quick application development
Quickbase is highly customisable to our needs
Requires specialist developer support. Too complex
Managing multiple complex projects across remote teams, working asynchronously. Compliance with audit and documentation needs. Performance measurement tracking and reporting
Simplicity / easy upload and extract / the way to customize it
Graph and recap table are not so performant / customizable.
Quickbase can easily centralize info from other system and display them as a table
It is extremely easy to get up and running even for someone that has never created an app before. But also can be used to do some extremly complicated and powerfull workflows as well.
The main downside is the pricing structure. It is really only viable for very large companies. I could easily see quickbase competing with excel but only if there was a much cheaper plan like 1 or two apps for 50 dollars a month.
The main problem it helps us solve is that is allows us encourage the business to self help on app creation so that IT is not necessary everyime. This has allowed us to free up more IT resources.
Customizability. Ease of use. Works well for out solution.
I think it needs a new look. Takes a while for things to load and sometimes connections break.
It helps us build products and pricing in order to create Order Forms for our customers.
The apps can be build quickly and since it is a no code platform, the sustaining can be transferred to end user.
The data connections to external systems are limited. The chart types are limited and formatting is not allowed.
Moving away from processes and data maintained in Excel spreadsheets. Project and process management.
Easy to customize to fit our business need as a project management software. We rely heavily ability to link tables of information together and Quickbase knocks that out of the park. Support team and sales team were and have been helpful over the years.
Pipelines have been a bit hitchy but work decently to automate tasks and information workflows. A tad pricey for super small businesses.
Ability to house key information for our organization- project info, financial snapshots, customer information, etc.
I like the ease of creating tables and database replacements for non technical users but also have advanced functionality such as API's, pipelines, etc. to integrate with other software solutions.
I dislike the lack of customization in appearance , such as font and background colors for home pages.
Our company has many things that need to be tracked and many people that track them. Quickbase is an easy solution that we can get an array of different people to learn.
Quickbase's ease of use and simple navigation eventually led me to join our IT department to continue growing and managing our applications. The fantastic peer support has allowed me to find solutions and ideas to improve our apps to support our ever-growing programs. Quickbase also does a great job communicating updates, providing training, and engaging with customers.
Updates to reports and forms have been a lengthy process. Some valuable features are still missing in the new versions. I wish reports and fields had more built-in audit trails to identify the original owner/creator.
Using QuickBase, we can manage and support thousands of members in our many programs. Our staff can efficiently monitor onboarding tasks, compliance requirements, and process changes using reports, dashboards, and notifications. As our programs grow, QuickBase is growing along with us.
The platform is so flexible that for the most part, if you can dream it you can build it. The new forms tool brings the platform visually into the "new age" so you don't feel like you're working in an antiquated program.
If you don't have proper guidance from the beginning on how to properly structure your build, things can get layered up and messy pretty quickly. Build like you'll be a huge company one day and save yourself the trouble of having to rebuild later! The platform is so flexible that it can actually be a negative as well from the user standpoint - just becuase you can make changes on the fly doesnt mean you should, make sure changes are well thought through before implementing. Gmail integration is fairly new, but it would be great for this feature to be more flushed out. Something that seems pretty standard in CRM platforms these days is the ability to tag emails to be saved to a specific record. This would be a great feature for Quickbase to implement at the platform level instead of needing a programmer to figure out how to make it work.
We use Quickbase to run practically the entire company. All of our assignments and invoicing are run through the processes we were able to build out.
Quickbase is a powerful and easy to use system. You can be a novice or expert in database design and quickly improve your productivity.
Sometimes Quickbase tries to be too helpul. It assumes what you are trying to do--and it might be right most of the time--but when it's not, it makes more work for you. I would like to see more support for the document model.
Quickbase helps us track our inventory, production and testing. It helps us stay organized and make use of the large data.
Nice outline, clarity, friendly user environment.
Freezing and related occasionally crashes.
Accessible data inputs for the whole team.
