I did not find any downsides. Of course, it is always better to pay less for the platform.
We should not open entities in all countries where our employees are working
The app is very intuitive and easy to use. I love that it keeps track of all my documents related to work and it's always easy to access it. Their customer service is also very helpful and always fast to respond.
I still can't be paid in my local currency and that's the thing I would change when it comes to Remote. My country is Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Remote is solving the invoices in my country, since my employer is in other country and it would be much harder for me to work for them without Remote.
Remote.com gives the opportunity to work for companies abroad without worrying about invoicing, employment contracts etc. They employ you as a company based in your own country, so they cover all legal sides. The support team tries to overcome all difficulties that may appear before or during employment. Response from them is always quick and to the point. I've never been left waiting for the resolution of my problem.
The only thing that I dislike is the lack of support in my language. Would also like to be able to get help via the phone because the only channel of communication I've found so far is via live chat and e-mail.
Remote.com allowed me to seamlessly work with a company from the UK while I was given an employment contract in the country where I currently live - in Poland. Without them, in the middle, it would be not easy to get it working

I liked how fast we were able to enrol me into the org. It took just few days. The flow was effortless for the employer. And safe and esy for me. I was new to the remote work in USA. Previously I worked in Europe and the process was very manual and different. I appreciated that I didn't need to learn the process myself. Just submit few docs and I was set. It was nice that I could link up few bank products and choose where I'd except the funds. The highlight for me was the support I received when the Crisis started, my bank Alfa Bank *now under sanctions lol just "stolen" the funds pretending that they couldn't make KYC. The bank support did me dirty. But I after I contacted the remote support, got the info. Was in endless chats with my bank and they told me that the funds been sent back to my org.. Which wasn't true. I posted on twitter and recieved the funds. It was literally half of million rub +- 6k usd. So thank you. A pleasure using your product.
It took around nine work days for me to receive the funds. I was not provided with options to choose conversions the USD/RUB. Or for example, receive USD instead of RUB on my USD account.
Fast and efficient way to hire contractors globally. Saved me up some time learning, applying and finding ways to get paid. I'm Russian and can't find a way to land a contract with any WESTERN org at the moment. I would appreciate a solution for this situation. I know that many highly professional workers r pushed to use sketchy services and providers to register in countries like Turkey. Personally, I spend all of my savings trying to legalise in Mexico. And ended up flying back to Russia, where I own property. Just cos there was no way for me to start working legally.
We have hired several people in different countries through remote. The process was smooth and we are very happy with remote. Florian Prokosch patiently and diligently answered all our questions and helped us understand all the involved costs for each hire.

I think one of the things that I dislike here is that there is no option to charge my client using my currency. In my case, I can't give a fixed amount in PHP to my client but instead have to calculate what's the conversion rate of my client's currency.

Easy and transparent built-in calculator which tells you how much an employee will cost the company, how much you have to pay Remote, and the breakdown for each cost, for example social security or benefits.
The process for sponsoring someone's visa (if they don't have a work permit in the country they want to live in and work from) is pretty straightforward and I 100% recommend it, the only downside is that it's not fully integrated in the web app, but rather you have to communicate with the attorneys on email manually.

Remote is unbelievably easy-to-use. It's very simple to set-up, and almost seems to be too-good-to-be-true in terms of what an effective service it is. In addition we have been super impressed with the customer support when we've had questions - customer support has been very fast, effective, and efficient in replying.
Honestly, there hasn't been anything that we've disliked. We feel like there has been full transparency on costs, limitations along the way.
